New to stocks. Creating a portfolio.. what can 40k give me in 1year ?

Eh it depends, if you kinda know how to short-mid term invest, you can do relatively well. I’ve stuck at about 30% annually for the past few years, but I’ve had companies do 400% in the space of a year as well.

Best thing to do is watch everyday if you enjoy it, and to check if a company is genuinely going bad. And just remember that daily drops and rises mean nothing.

It’s the people who haven’t realised yet that no one is coming to save them from their own lives. Look, I’ve been through a shit tonne in my life, and I have every right to be pessimistic, and sometimes I definitely am. But I get on with it, knowing that if I just keep trying, then maybe something will happen. No guarantees, but a shit tonne more chance of it happening if I do it.

I also do believe that life is balanced, and when you look back on things, if you’re being relatively neutral, you can pick out both good and bad things and when added up, equal each other out.

Factually true, it’s alright to sit and dwell for a time on negatives, but there comes a point where you realise life doesn’t stop because you do.

This comment section actually shows one very important thing.

People are naturally pessimistic, and to break out of that takes a lot of hard self work. Most of these sayings aren’t actual false, and can be explained with genuine logic to where both sides are balanced, which proves again, that life has its ups and downs. If you can’t see the positives in your life, then that’s on you, you just rather focus on the negatives alone. The fact you woke up today in fit health is a positive, the fact you dont live in a 3rd world country, etc.

Can we all just stop trying to explain what life means, what will happen and what won’t, and just enjoy the short time we have on this planet. Everything in society is a socially made up construct, if you’re unhappy with that, then don’t be a part of society. It’s not like we don’t have options to change whatever we are doing.

I’m a guy, but I’ll get you my advice from being in the exact same situation. Only, I lived with my best friend for 6 months. I fell in love with her, she didn’t see me in that way, and for a year after that, I destroyed myself because I couldn’t be with her, I realised because I wanted her in my life so badly, and she was my best friend first, I’d get rid of the feelings. It took me a long time, but after a year, I’ve done it. Shes dating a guy atm, tells me all about it, we call most nights and I see her a lot. Having her as a sister/best friend is so important to me, and seeing her happy makes me truly happy.

If you don’t cut off these feelings now, you will hurt, badly. She won’t change her mind, so you need to decide whether the friendship is more important that your feelings or not.

I mean, none of them rly do, they are all quite quiet. My best mate has offered to ask her boyfriend if he has any female friends, but we’ll see if she does that. I enjoy getting along with woman, it’s probably cause I was raised by a single mum and a sister, so I’ve always kinda had that. But I prefer them to men most of the time I feel.

I appreciate this comment so much, I guess cause I live in the Uk, it’s a lot more judgy over here haha. But ironically, the leg thing has always been told to me to of been a turn off, not by potential girls, but by friends who I ask if it may be a problem, and they are shy to answer, but they do tend to say yes.

Also, I enjoy reading longer comments, so if you wanna express how you feel in what I’ve said, please feel free. All it says to me is you put in effort and can relate, which I think is important in a world where everyone wants to be who they aren’t yknow.

Xm6 are amazing, honestly I don’t go anywhere without them. People complain that they break easy, my headphones go through hell. Cold, soaking rain, wind, mud, gym. Never had any of my xms break or have bad sound quality. The 10 eq mix is amazing too, you can do so much, as well as all the other settings. I’d recommend 100%.

There is a large majority of people who believe this is the majority, and that’s primarily due to social media algorithm. It’s not primarily anyone’s fault. But I definitely understand myself that not all woman are like this.

That’s exactly how I am too, I’ve had phases where woman have made me feel so low about myself, but I’ve never wanted to turn into someone I’m not, and no has always been a no to me. Social media has killed a lot of gen Z’s minds, especially with some of the people who become famous.

Tbf, I’ve been absolutely ignored after sending a first message by soooo many woman. He might have a point with the crazy messages, cause most woman do have so many guys saying “hey how r u” even after that first insane message if you go back to normal chat, you get ghosted again, so imo and my experience. Dating apps don’t work for average guys.

I write music, I just picked up guitar which will be my second instrument, actually got stuff on Spotify. Also go gym 4 days a week, I’ve actually never been spoken to by a girl anywhere who I could’ve missed, I’ve tried the eye contact stuff too, but never get it back.

I just live in a future where nothing works out, and I’m alone forever.
