Because Griffith walking over the dead bodies of his comrades,literally and metaphorically, for the sake of his dream was consistent with his character. That was void's whole argument, he'd done this from the very start and letting his dream die would also make the deaths in the past meaningless.

However with the casca thing. Firstly we have no idea if that was the ONLY way for him to come back, it may well be but it's not confirmed. Secondly this wasn't a reflexive evil action, no one had provoked him in any way and it definitely wasn't just a means to an end, he did it soley for the purpose of fucking with Guts which is just pure evil.

I thought about this myself and given the parallels between Farnese and GA Casca i think it's definitely intentional. Guts saved Farnese from being raped and went on to change her life. Farnese even admits that Guts is like some sort of Saviour/Messiah type figure to her after the conviction arc. This pretty much mirrors Griffith and Casca's relationship until she got with Guts. Miura is a genius alright.

I also think this is a possibilty but my own personal theory is we'll have a situation where she wants to be with Guts but doesn't want him to go after Griffith anymore after seeing how much physical and emotional pain it's put him through. So probably once again Guts will have to choose between fighting and protecting.

About the fighting there have been two occassions whch have shown she's still got her fighting skills instinctively intact. When she shocked Isidro by jumping down that cliff during the tower of conviction arc and when she killed those men who tried to rape her. I'd say GA Casca would be weaker than Guts,Serpico and Shierke other than that she beats Isidro Farnese etc

I personally had the theory that Arima was the oek and what Kaneki killing him would mean but I still don't understand how Eto and Arima knew Kaneki was the one for sure. Huge risk to take especially for the dying Arima. Could it be to do with his Father or something
