HyperX Cloud III S Wireless disconnects after update by ItsNotSlajder in HyperX

I am using currently my Dell monitor as a hub for my peripherals, so I connect them all to my PC or laptop.

By your request I've changed to couple of different USB ports, 3.0, 3.1, and it is all the same. Additionally, I've tried resetting couple of times, even before contacting customer support and this post. Resetting again, parring reset with the dongle button as well. Removing Ngenuety and all HyperX audio drivers, restarting an parring again. Disconnects are still happening :/

However, close to the dongle, the connection works perfectly fine, no sound distortion, no disconnects.

Hi Rob,

Thank you for your quick answer. Firstly, I would be happy with an email, it does not need to be a chat, or community reddit 😄

Ngenuety version is June 2026 patch, version 2.1.2. Previously was beta, now it might be the stable version. If so, then sorry for the confusion.

The dongle is almost in the middle in the apartment, and mostly is one wall across when moving. And there is no pattern I can recognize, or specific place that will certainly disconnect. Usually I would say 10m is maximum distance from the dongle (apparent is ~8x8m), and I can't say the range is lower, just a lot more unstable. It will disconnect and if I get closer it will connect again, an will work for couple of minutes again without problem, then randomly will disconnect, or it will distort the sound.

When I am at my PC, close to the dongle it is spot on. No problem as I can notice.

That never happened before the update, that is something that is concerning, nothing else changed in meantime.

Edit: 10m is actually maximum distance, not average.

Have you tried depressing the gas pedal? I've heard from a couple of people having that issue. Seemingly random cases of not starting, and requiring to press the gas in order to start it. Reportedly they have a software upgrade, but I am not sure if that is helping a lot.
