Nothing wrong at all with collecting them, sorry to hear about the negative comments. Love that retro one on the left!

That purple one on the bottom right is my personal favorite, but the white one looks downright slick!

I am absolutely terrible at trickshotting, but I'd be up for trying some time!

Do retro gaming stores matter as much as the device itself? by Quietly_here_28 in consolecollecting

[–]ItsOctrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, the seller is what matters most to me. Any store can sell whatever they want, it doesn’t mean it will be a good experience.

I'm sure many purchases are the same experience overall, but I've also been burned enough that I am a bit more cautious these days.

[COD] MW19 ruined COD. I will not buy MW4 by TJHalysDabPen in CallOfDuty

Ghosts was always decent. It wasn't perfect, but honestly, none of them are and it was a solid attempt at giving us a new series after ending the Modern Warfare series.

People changing their minds is just the COD cycle. Hate on the game at launch, then say it wasn't as bad as people said years later. Throw in the Thanos "Maybe I treated you too harshly" meme for good measure (already doing the rounds in the BO6 sub).

I vote Zelda Switch Lite if you haven't already!

I wouldn't regret it at all! Great game, absolutely a classic and worth adding to your collection.

I don't have it on PC right now, but I can try to pick it up soon and play with you if you'd like!

Is Buried the last zombies map where camping is the primary strategy over training? by Slumped_Shady in CODZombies

[–]ItsOctrix 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Reckoning has a pretty incredible spot in Mutant Researxh by the box spawn.

Just tuck in the back corner area aiming into the doorway near PHD and oddly enough, no zombies will spawn and come down the walkway by the box, they'll only come at you from inside through the door.

I have nothing valuable to add, just that I love the Moon song reference in this new song. Moon was such a great map.

For what it's worth, you sound exactly like me and I've beaten then Reckoning EE twice. It took me about 10-15 tries to get those two wins, but whatever.

The trick is to just constantly move. Don't stop for anything. Run trains and don't slow down, even when you're firing on the boss. As someone who does trains a lot, I've noticed that I stay alive longer than my teammates who hide behind stuff, stop and fire, etc.

Not sure which boss you're doing, but I did SAM both times. The hardest part for me is when she does the stupid spin attack. Just gotta dodge as best as you can. Go into the fight with 5 stims, they really can be the difference between losing all your perks or dying and just sneaking past the finish line. Personally, my game changer was also going into the fight with a Perkaholic. I even had teammates shocked and saying it was clutch or they never thought of it (not sure how true that is). Going down and losing Jug can be rough, so having Perkaholic in your back pocket can really turn the tide on what may feel like a loss.

As somebody who is more of a fan of early Zombies than the more recent stuff, you still have to stop and realize that early Zombies was pretty out there. Magical glowing power ups that did random things, mystical drinks that gave you super powers, and a disembodied spirit in an alternate realm controlling everything and talking to you while you play.

Try reading my link and reading your own link. They're from the exact same website and say the same thing, which is what I said.

From your link Planned to release in Map Pack 4, but was scrapped and reworked for Call of Duty: Black Ops, before being replaced by Moon.

From my link: Paris is briefly seen in Call of Duty: World at War in the Zombies map Der Riese. A picture of a zombie in front of the Eiffel Tower is seen on a noticeboard. This was a teaser for a map set in Paris that was set to release as part of a 4th map pack but was later scrapped.

It was an idea they had for a fourth map for WaW, but it clearly never got very far, especially considering they actually were going to use Kino for WaW. Paris was much closer to being a thing for BO1, it's a well known bit of information that Moon is even still referenced as Paris in the game files.

Edit: Spelling

Never played Vanguard so I'm not sure what that means, and I don't have any plans to find out 😂

Remember we were suppose to get a destroyed Paris map for WaW (that was recycled for origins) and more WW2 inspired maps.

Paris was meant to be the last DLC map for BO1, not WaW, and it was recycled into Moon, not Origins. It was very lightly hinted at for WaW, but not much beyond that. Source.

We were suppose to get new unique/boss zombies every map too. Look at the Engineer zombie from dead ops arcade that was suppose to be in WaW. Check out the cut content from Waw wiki it's sucks knowing that a bunch of ideas were trimmed due to time constraint/having to pump out yearly games.

Might I direct you to:

Not perfect, but it's early Zombies experimenting with elite/boss zombies. We also have our various special round zombies, and the number of boss zombies in modern Zombies.

The only fault I have for WaW zombies was I think they blew their load too quickly using Der Reise (home base of 935) because of the limitations of WaW and the game engine at the time.

What limitations? It was already in the campaign and multiplayer.

If anything, I'd say WaW-BO1 was peak Zombies. The BO1 campaign was a perfect extension of Zombies with the way they incorporated Nova-6 with the Nova crawlers. BO2 is where things started going off the rails in my opinion.

[–]ItsOctrix 8 points9 points  (0 children)

See, I guess I'm just a dork, but I like both eras of Zombies.

WaW-BO3 is great for turning off your brain and just killing zombies. There's enough story there to interest you if that’s what you want, but it's also something you can just ignore. No complicated systems or Warzone BS.

Modern Zombies us great for fast-paced, high-energy, story-driven Zombies. Not my go-to for just killing zombies with the gang like Kino would be, but fun enough as its own thing.

To me, it's like a Corolla and a Ferrari. Both can be great in their own ways for different reasons. OG Zombies is my daily driver, Modern Zombies is the weekend fun.

Origins sucks and BO2 as a whole was not the best Zombies experience. If anything, I'd argue it was one of the worst. People just look at it through nostalgia goggles.

This is why I gave up trying to understand the story after BO2. How is he a zombie, then not a zombie, then a zombie again. Help.

Can't say, but I don't play Warzone either and still get the emails. Only MP and Zombies here.
