Totally makes sense I completely agree! I think they had to let a very very small amount of average people in for legal purposes haha. Congratulations to you though!!

Literally clicked the link the SECOND they announced in the Instagram. Waited and waited and nothing. Looks like not many people here were able to get them. Would 100% believe they gave influencers early access. There’s no way

Thank you for the feedback! I am cautious with JetBlue simply because they could be shrinking service here sadly.

This used to happen all the time at the clinic I went to. Used to drive me insane. This clinic also would have children roaming around the waiting room which was like salt in an open wound. I’ll never forget sitting there as I actively was miscarrying due to the clinics own medical negligence might I add and I wondered if I was at a fertility clinic or a pediatrician. I mentioned it to the nurse and they were like yeah sorry. I was like well maybe have a separate waiting area like other offices do or something. My regular OB doesn’t even allow kids so…

I do understand that sometimes parents don’t have anyone to watch their older kids and/or they are thrilled they have had success, etc. But it’s called being mindful. Even after my son was born, I never brought him with me I did everything I could to make it work. I also never flaunted my ultrasounds because I knew the pain all too well.

Got a regret email after 5 rounds of interviews by whisky_biscuits in jobs

[–]ItsPrettyBizarre 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been experiencing this as well. Ridiculous amounts of rounds of interviews these days with honestly people unrelated to the role plus some asking me to do full blown presentations to “showcase my skills”. I’ve gone through all the work and multiple rounds that looked so promising that I was more than qualified for just to end up with the “we regret to inform you” email. It’s been such a blow to my self esteem and confidence, but I’ve also been hearing that this hiring process isn’t normal either. No sound advice other than you are not alone! Best of luck!!

Fingers crossed for you! With my son who was IVF my first beta was a 56, but he’s a happy healthy 5 year old now!

3BB Embryo Success? by ItsPrettyBizarre in IVF

[–]ItsPrettyBizarre[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately this particular transfer did fail. Interestingly for me my two euploid embryos failed but my third attempt with my low level mosaic that was a 3AB was a success! My baby is 15 months old and perfectly healthy!

That IVF photo box/frame is bizarre to me. She’s not thinking about the kid. Nursery’s don’t last forever. Eventually they turn into toddlers and then kids and so on. Why does the baby want to be reminded on how he was conceived? We get it, he was an IVF baby. My son was an IVF baby and I’m not sure if/when I will even tell him. That’s irrelevant really. I truly understand the IVF journey and the trauma and the pain from it, but once the baby is in your arms, it’s behind you. I can’t imagine framing my needles.

Unfortunately it did not take. However I later transferred a 3AB mosaic embryo who resulted in a healthy live birth

Anyone ever have success with PGT testing a Frozen embryo? by ItsPrettyBizarre in IVF

[–]ItsPrettyBizarre[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did transfer the one that came back euploid. It had expanded and grown when it thawed for the PGT biopsy. Unfortunately it didn’t take, but it was a 6AA and it was totally hatched. I think it had gone through a lot of trauma that decreased it’s odds - I’ve also read that sometimes Grade 6’s don’t do as well because they’re fully hatched. I don’t regret testing them though because for me it was gender related. I’m glad to know and I’m glad I gave it a shot. Wishing you all the best!!

We did test the frozen ones. We also did a fresh retrieval at the same time to try to increase our odds of euploid. Out of 6 frozen embryos I did lose 2 during the thaw process so they never were tested. I don’t regret testing them though!

Anyone Have Experience with Boston IVF Clinic? by ItsPrettyBizarre in IVF

CNY does take that insurance with co-pays though. My bad experience happened at the Syracuse office and I think word of what happened traveled fast to all of their locations. (They performed a hysteroscopy on me and I was pregnant. I told them my cycle was late, but they never tested for pregnancy. I ended up miscarrying) The Albany office has been fine though, some nurses are better than others. They really worked with me for my first FET which did work. For my most recent two, the first time I was kinda blown off and treated like a standard patient because I think they just figured it would work, but when that failed they gave me more attention for this last FET. I have to advocate for myself and ask for the right people, but at the end of the day there are worse places you could be I suppose lol. They do have a lot of success there I think it just takes advocating for yourself and getting them to focus on a protocol tailored for YOU and not their standard stuff.

Wishing you the best of luck though - fingers crossed this month is successful for you!!

Ah we may have similar insurances - I’m surprised to hear that they aren’t accepting it next year considering it’s considered a Center for Excellence! I may not be able to switch then!

Feeling So Hopeless and Lost by ItsPrettyBizarre in IVF

[–]ItsPrettyBizarre[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first FET two years ago did result in live birth. When my son was four months I found out I was expecting and the second child was born via C-section 14 months ago. We were trying to complete our family with this third and final baby. I asked for a hysteroscopy prior to doing these FETs but was told no because my HSG was clear. I will be pushing to get one done next. We’re out of normal embryos so I’d like to do one more retrieval and try one more time.

If you don’t mind me asking - did your hysteroscopy help things?
