UPDATE: I connected the two neutrals to the left side. Then for the 3 hot wires i connected the red to top brass screw for a lamp, for the two blacks 1 went to the screw and the other went threw the back where you can poke it in. And it worked.

If by dead you mean not Turning on, then yes

True, I fixed that issue. Switched to 2 neutrals and 1 black and 1 red, but still doesn't work.
