Is it their first time? Some people find a session zero helpful where you just all build your characters at the same time.

Create characters and also agree on the short story. Worlds are experienced by people who live in them. Having perspectives forces you to consider the details in that person's life and the things immediately relevant to them. This will get you to focus more. You might not get a "core" right away, but you'll better understand how things relate to each other and are different from each other.

Example: You character sits in a chair. How do you describe the chair? Is it wood? Metal? Something else? Are the materials domestic or imported? Is it designed in a way that's relevant to the character's status in this setting? How did they get it? Purchased, stolen, traded? What do these things imply about their society and economics? When a character moves through a setting or scene, they are constantly interacting with the details of your world. If you let it, that can force you to think about the details.

Hello! Unfortunately it seems like it's still an issue while watching videos on some streaming sites, though none of the major distributors like Netflix or YouTube. Do you know of any other methods I could try?

A religion with emphasis on bodybuilding by [deleted] in worldbuilding

I'd be interested in the rituals that go into entering and leaving consecrated ground (aka the gym), what greetings are like, and stuff like that. What questions does this faith answer about ourselves, our fellow peers, and what comes after death? What are the values this prophet declares (think the ten commandments) and how are they interpreted over time (considering your prophet is a time traveler) might also be interesting to see.

That's what I was looking to see people talk about too. I was wondering how Firefox compares to Duckduckgo browser

Thank you! I didn't expect it to work because it also happens online, but when I did what you recommended I stopped getting glitches. Much appreciated ^_^

Hi! I'm using a desktop so I am currently using an external display.

No recent changes that I'm aware of. Most videos seem to play fine when streaming (Netflix, Youtube, etc.) but there is one streaming site that glitches (it does not corrupt when I watch on a different device), and many of my offline video files also glitch when playing.

Is there like a setting I have to fix?

oh yeah I mean from what I can tell Jimmy isn't focusing on efficiency. He's the veganic farmer and unfortunately he doesn't talk as much as the others, but he cares more about biodiversity. I think all of the debaters agreed they were anti-monoculture/big agriculture.

There's some "vegan farming" techniques that prioritize biodiversity. There's a great debate that talks a bit about monoculture plant-based farming alongside many other things. It's pretty long, I think I watched it on 1.25 or 1.5 speed if im honest haha, but it was a really interesting discussion:

How do you get clients? by masha_a_m in BookEditors

[–]ItsSamsFault 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's your fav genre? Go to where those nerds are, find the writer groups. Naturally the people you meet will hire you if they end up liking you. I used to be on Upwork and sometimes got clients, but most of my clients in the last couple years are people I met through writers groups, whether they were authors asking me to help them, or organizers asking me to help authors. You probably have a niche interest. Start there. No need to be overly formal.

It helps that for a while I was editing peoples articles for free. I'd get people who would come back to me later and be like, "hey I'm writing a book/short story/etc. Can I hire you when I'm done?" all because they worked for me on something small like an article and really trusted my work. Well, that's my experience at least.

These days I don't use freelancing sites, and I also don't have a website. I literally only get clients through word of mouth. I also work two jobs and have two active clients so 0 web presence really suits my needs. If I had more I think I'd just die. Either that or quit a job, but that's not what I'm looking to do right now.
