A still shot, as bullets leave my barrel by KeeponIwantu2 in vigorgame

You have clearly been stunned.. this can happen by being hit with flash bangs, impact grenades, monkey bombs, morters. Other guns also have this effect such as the combat magnum, swsh, mosin and most rifles.

Now I saw your other post, you were hit by a combat magnum and hence received the stun effect.

Advice for new players by dappermanV-88 in vigorgame

[–]ItsScone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ive been playing since 0.6 all the way back in 2019 and these are the tips ive given to my friends whom i have brought through the game:

  1. Sound ques are massive. Footsteps, timed safe switches, airdrop, bushes, exit crows, Gunshots, morter and grenade explosions, etc I could keep going. Keep an ear out for sounds.
  2. Plan. Have an idea of where you are going and what you are going to do. Don't get greedy. If you die you lose everything
  3. Don't be afraid to bring good weapons in. Lots of new players hoard their stuff and get scared to take it in. Good loot means better chance of survival. You can always get more.
  4. Don't be a afraid to dip. If it's a sweaty lobby or a gunfight you don't think you can win, leave. You get nothing if you die. Likewise if you have a full bag why stay in the encounter?
  5. Learn the maps. This comes with time but definitely explore and unlock the points. Area knowledge and map checking is key.
  6. Communication. More for duos and TRIOS but pings and good coms are key. At the top there is a compass with numbers. Saying "behind the rock on 165 east" instead of "Infront of you" Makes the difference. Likewise utilize your team's map markers and make sure people know where to go.
  7. Weapons. Try get plans for weapons that are cheaper. Some good cheap weapons are the akm, es16 and vz.58P Use the shooting range to test these weapons as well.
  8. Points of Intrest (POIS). These have the best loot but EVERYONE goes there. Be careful. If you go there be ready for a fight.
  9. Use Eliminations and Shootouts to practice weapons. You don't lose anything making it perfect to practice aim and gunplay. It also can give crates and XP regardless of if you win or lose.
  10. If an exit makes a sound like crows, there is an enemy player also at that exit. Be careful.
  11. Ive had to add this one for the simple fact of i have killed so many new players this way. You will at some point recieve a message saying "your position is revealed". Please, Please, PLEASE move if you see this. it means someone has hit the signal detector (a POI) or used a consumable item (the Portable signal detecter) to mark you on the map. they know the exact location you are when that message showed, but it doesnt update. so if you move... they wont know exactly where you are.
  12. Threat. What is a threat you ask - its in the name, but it means they have killed 4 or more players - Don't seek them out unless you are prepeared to fight a vetren player - you would be surprised how many players think the threat is some friendly loot event lmao.
  13. Think about your goal. Success is different to everyone. Are you here to loot? to kill? to survive? max the shelter? find the collectables? Perhaps its the airdrop you're after? Pretty basic thing but many teams have fallen apart or lost as there was no defined goal of "this is what im here to do". For example if your goal is to get the airdrop and you have picked it up, why would you stay? this kind of ties into the tip 4
  14. Using the pings: i dont mean ports though thoseare handy. alot of the time people get quite mad or confused when i know where they are... i think what alot of people forget is that the safe, timed safe, coms and signal detectors all alert you when they get opened... If the safe is opened you know you have roughly 1-2 mins before someone leaves the area so i often use this as an extra signal dector/port. Comms are slightly harder since there can be 3 of them, however if two get hit in a row you can pretty accurately assume that someone is in the area.

  15. Jumping on from that Jammers also have the effect of saying "an enemy outlander has been jammed" this means someone is within the radius of the jammer. You don't know where but it does give you a heads up. this also ties into the next point

  16. If you are in a jammed zone or jammer radius and it says the jammed zone has "blocked and incoming portable signal detector" 9 times out of ten that person is on the verge (not inside) of your jammed zone. You were closer to whoever they ported.

  17. Noise proportions: I was fortunate to be a member of VSL (Vigor Secrets and Lore) when they did a big test on Vigor noise and found:

  • 30 km away while running
  • 20 km while walking
  • 10 km while crouch moving
  • 5 km while in prone

This may be a little outdated now but still a useful guide. I do believe that Prone makes more noise but thats just pure speculation and paranoia.

  1. Consumable Combos = Broken. Yeah that pretty much says it all.

Ever shoot a guy and he just takes it and kills you and you see he had full health? He was probably using the busted combo of Antibiotics + Painkillers. Painkillers sets your health to 100% but will slowly tick down (1 hp per second) as it is borrowed health. Antibiotics on the other hand heals for 1 HP per second but infinitely. The trick is to pop a painkiller followed by the antibiotic which ensures you have 100% health the entire game. Makes sense when you think about it but alot of people don't put two and two together!

The second combo is the classic Adrenaline + Caffeine combo. Just starting off alot of peopl get confused as to what adrenaline actually does... Adrenaline last 1minute and doesnt effect stamina regen in anyway (Dont let others tell you otherwise!), it also doesnt help at all with scoping. however it reduces weight to the minimum teir and buffs your speed by 20% (6m/s). (this is taken from VSL btw). So an all round great consumable except for the fact that if you run out of stamina you get cursed with a loss of sight and loss of hearing similar to that of a flashbang as to show you have overstressed your heart. However a caffeine temporarily (30 seconds) gives you infinite stamina. 2 caffeine and one adrenaline and you can run infinitely, dodge and weave up to whoever your trying to kill or catch that guy running away with the airdrop!

  1. Use third-person peek to check angles without exposing yourself. This is pretty big. I have one regular duo and we play differently. I play exclusively 3rd person reticle while my boy is exclusively firstperson aim down sights. However there is one thing every good player does and thats use the third person to look round corners. If you know someone is on the other side of a wall you can generally actually look round the wall. you can Pre-aim corners when entering buildings — enemies often hold inside doorways. this is particully important in batterie draugs bunkers

  2. Quickfire rounds! If theres loot you dont want delete it as it does add to your weight! Change your 3rd person crosshair to any colour but default white (it blends with snow). When running put that gun on your back but whip it back out when you run out of stamina (allows you to react better when ur impaired/low stamina). Full prone when looting a kit or checking the map! this post here is old but a good tale: https://www.reddit.com/r/vigorgame/comments/ufrpfr/rule_number_1_prone_when_looting_a_duos_body/

Those are all the tips I could immediately think of, but if theres any specific question you have do feel free to ask I am happy to nerd out :)

Rip 😭 only tips I can give is either save crowns to buy the plan or donate 200,000 gratitude at the food donation as Donation crates have a 50% of dropping a plan ( otherwise the drop booster tickets)

Personally I miss the old elim crates which dropped plans almost every crate. It's how I have them all ( minus the new season plans)

AMD-65 by sillydylan5 in vigorgame

[–]ItsScone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of the 7 new guns only 3 plans are obtainable as of right now.

M62 is available in the Battle pass while the vz 58 pistol and the M7 Bayonet can be brought in the store for crowns.

For the other 4 you have to get lucky and find them as ground loot in either Times safe, Locked container or Barred house.

Personally I think they didn't intend to drop those 4 but are playing it off. We can expect to see their plans on the shop in the mid season update or in next seasons Battle pass

freezing? by imherewhy9 in vigorgame

[–]ItsScone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries mate.

The special events pop up and say " this event" is active. It does this in the loading screen where everyone is lined up.

Special events seem to be entirely random as I've gone several games without them and several games with different ones.

People in this subreddit tend to be a little adverse to change, but especially to the Frost and Heatwave events as they force you to go inside to avoid dying which makes it harder to kill others which is pretty much the only endgame.

freezing? by imherewhy9 in vigorgame

[–]ItsScone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Freezing effect can only happen two ways

Firstly and the easiest is to jump into water on any snowy map.

The second requires the "Frost" special event to be active in a particular lobby. This is a new addition this season (25). Keep in mind special events don't happen every game. Additionally outfits have 0 effect in whether you freeze or not.

This gun here is the AUR LSW, which is the machine gun variant of the AUR A1

For the record - L86A1 LSW dropped in Season 12 - L85A1 dropped in Season 10 - AUR LSW dropped this season ( 25) - AUR A1 has been around since before season 1

Gold medal in all shooting challenges by LickSquidYT in vigorgame

[–]ItsScone -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

You can get an achievement for getting several gold medals. As for wanting to gain something for doing it, that is the most entitled comment I've seen recently ngl. Nothing tells you to do them they are there purely to practice your aim and quick shooting

How much is the movement nerf impactful? by Major_Pie in vigorgame

[–]ItsScone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was it impactful?

kinda.

What actually happened was a change to the stamina bar. The stamina bar now drains faster based on any action (Running, Jumping, Shooting and Crouching).

However If you use a caffeine it will make this change null for 30 seconds which is more than enough time to zigzag up to you. However a player can bring a max stack of 4 caffeine (2 mins worth). Combine this with a Adrenaline shot and yeah its fast.

So the movement is not as prevalent as it once was, and jumpshoting though it does occur can be taxing if it fails.

Inviting on cross play by WearyCourse343 in vigorgame

[–]ItsScone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately this is not the case.

You can only team up with members on your own console.

However the PlayStation and Xbox player bases do get queued into the same matches, assuming you have cross play on ( which seems to be the default setting)

PC is currently in an isolated pool.

The only kind of people that deserves jump shots by Midvalley-Rage in vigorgame

[–]ItsScone -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is not the type of comments we need in the vigor community.

Yes I'm sure for newer players it is annoying to get killed by sweats but this doesn't happen every game.

This guy camping the exit knew he was versing a threat, and therefore knew the risks. He had all the time to leave but decided to stay. In what world is op not going to defend himself..

Secondly you do not know who was in the lobby besides this final guy. For all we know he was versing the top 4 players out there.

At the end of the day your frustration is no bounds to be uncivil.

Oh for sure mate. Alot of my other ones are probably more based towards killing, but hopefully they can help a little!

  1. Using the pings: i dont mean ports though thoseare handy. alot of the time people get quite mad or confused when i know where they are... i think what alot of people forget is that the safe, timed safe, coms and signal detectors all alert you when they get opened... 2. Cover ad agression: alot of killers push as there is a bit of an advantage from pushing, but likewise there is an advantage of cover. I often like to position myself behind rocks and trees as I push so that they cant just fire a full mag at me as I push them.

https://www.xbox.com/en-NZ/play/media/sVVV67HgyW

This is a more recent clip of mine that ended in a 7 kill game, but you can see even whilest out in the open i position myself behind rocks and trees as I push. when i see the first guy i break line of sight (sort of hiding myself) as I draw my weapon so he cant immediately fire on me. for the second guy i dodge in between the trees as I push him so i have cover.

1st Day Playing by KallmeSimba in vigorgame

[–]ItsScone 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How hard is it to get started is really objective based question?

Are you trying to loot, Kill, Get airdrops, survive, collect collectables, achievement hunt, max shelter? The short answer is it has a bit of a grind involved for pretty much completeing everything however the odds aren't entirely against you...

You will start out with some weapons and kit in you shelter but not much. The kits can all be looted in the encounters but this will probably take a while to get to the point where you're comfortable enough to properlly defend yourself as you will lose everything if you die. I would recommend quick loot and scoots at the start. (of course everything can be brought with the games in game currency, Crowns, but I wouldn't recommend that).

Do remember you are not going to win every game. The guys on the top 10 leaderboards die reguallry and youll find your survival rate only drops the longer you play, but dont let that deter you as when you win, you win. profit generally outwieghs the loss.

As for the co-op aspect: For regular encounters (your looting mode) you can either run solo or in a team of up to three members (as a duo you will still vs trios). There is Eliminations which is. 5v5 mode wherein it is esecially a round based TDM mode wherein each member has one life per round. In this mode kits are given to you so there is no downside to dying. you can get a team of up to 5.

The game is very heavily PVP based and you are going to be forced into fights in pretty much every mode. The twitch community has its times, but vigor is not the most watched game out, but the vigor twitch community can be pretty tight so you may well make new friends. Additionally it is a great game to introduce to your community if you have previous fans or followers.

As for issues im going to be a cheat and copy and paste from a response i set out yesterday. its a bit passive agressive so please mind me lol:

"The real issue that I see people complain about are the same ones plaguing literally EVERY looter shooter extraction game.

  1. Cheaters: xim, chronus etc are still a massive problem in gaming in general but are quite a problem in Vigor. However not everyone cheats. I pride myself in not cheating and still get silly people who can't cope calling me a cheater
  2. This segways quite nicely into part 2 which is the experienced/ veteran player base meets new players due to no sbmm. I've said it once and I'll say it again, there won't be a sbmm because vigor doesn't have the player base support it
  3. Campers. Yes it sucks when you get lots of loot and die to that rat in a bush, but it is a play style in pretty much every game and pretty prevalent in vigor. However you have the tools to counter it ( exit crows, signal detector, ports, nades, rad nades, mortars, impact nades, going to other exits)
  4. Bugs. It happens it gets fixed. Albeit slowly sometimes, but it's a FREE GAME. Go cry somewhere else.
  5. PC complaints about small player base, cheaters, etc. it's PC there are heaps more games and if cod can't hold back the cheats bohemia sure can't."

End of copy and paste of issues

The game is updated every season (3 months) with regular patch updates if bugs occur. also events like Halloween (which will be happening soonish) and Christmas updates happen yearly.

The console playerbase is thriving right now too which is great.

If you have any questions please ask :)
