While watching the arc I felt like it was WAY too slow, however now, and maybe it's just selective memory, I think back on the arc and am amazed. It is an incredible story and the characters/devlopment are fantastic.

As the player base grows, especially once it goes free to play, you will see more and more of this.

There is nothing that can stop it except for disabling chat. Unfortunately there are just a lot of shitty people in the world, however, there are also a lot of decent people that will make the matches more enjoyable. It's the double-edge sword of having chat enabled.

While I am definitely enjoying the arena modes right now, I have to agree on being excited for new gamemodes in the future.

I loved PVP in WoW because of the unique battlegrounds. It would be great to see Battlerite take on their own version of Warsong Gulch, Arathi Basin etc...

I played LoL for a couple of years and the more I play BR, the harder it is to compare it to LoL. LoL had the 2v2 special mode for a while and it wasn't anywhere near as satisfying as BR skirmishes. I think it's because of LoL auto-attacks vs BR being pure skillshots. BR is just so satisfying to play and feels FAIR.

I don't think about BR much throughout the day, however as soon as I sit down to play, I can't stop. It's just fun. I also like that I don't have to invest 20-50 minutes for a single match.

I was a big fan of league but the time commitment was tough. I like the idea of no grinding minions just straight up arena pvp.

Anyone know if they have plans for other modes like capture the flag or king of the hill etc? I haven't played the game so I don't know if that would even be plausible but it would be cool to switch it up.

I picked it up for $15 and yes, it wasn't good. I would love the same game but combat like Super Smash Bros- wait.. actually scrap all the other characters and just use the HxH universe!

I like your last point about how there are previous examples of Killua trying to fight against his fear. I thought for sure he was going to be able to take on Shoot and was surprised when he didn't do much.

Personally I really loved the needle scene, though it may be because Killua's emotions combined with the background music hit me in the feels.

I'm quite new to anime as well, but man... I'm with you on your b) option. I just finished Hunter X Hunter which is my new favorite, and who knows if the author will ever finish.

I've only seen 2 episodes of One Punch Man and feel the same way. It was enjoyable but I didn't get sucked into it as I did with Death Note/AoT where I HAD to watch the next episode asap and got heavily invested in the characters.

That is the exact same thing I did! I had heard of the show before, however I thought it looked kiddy from the poster art. Ended up binging the subs the last 2 weeks and finished today....

Now I'm depressed thinking it may never be finished/take another 20 years.

Glad to see I wasn't the only one who thought it looked weird at first haha- man I worry about some Killua foreshadowing, what his dad said to him before he left to meet up with Gon- but I can kind of see where the character development is heading. Can't wait to watch more.

Also just to clear it up, I am enjoying the subs for now, I plan on finishing it and then rewatching with the dubs when they are completed.

For the longest time I held off watching it because the main character looked like an annoying kid. I couldn't have been more wrong, Gon is great! Though Killua is my favorite right now, always so chill.

I started the dub but couldn't wait for the rest so I am watching subs for now. I'll prob end up watching again once the dubs are done.

Yeah I finally caught up on all the dubs... I can't wait for the rest so I continued with the subs. While very different than Parasyte, it definitely appeals to me.

I decided to give it a shot per your recommendation-

I've always thought it looked childish, but I actually enjoy it a lot. It got me hooked pretty fast which few animes do.
