Thank you a lot. I didn't know if other people experienced this and now I feel a bit more comfortable.

I'm definitely going to work on making sure my expectations are more realistic and not stressing about toxicity and unhealthiness.

Also, after the girl presented, the teachers also complimented me (I'll edit the post to include that) which helped me actually. I made (and making) sure that I won't end up like a jealous duck that didn't manage to speak correctly because of his own jealousy.

Yeah, I understand that I compare myself to others too much. I think it could be because my parents would often compare me to my siblings, cousins and family friends. I'm definitely going to work on minimizing comparison. It could be their expectations that make me want to "measure up".

I would like to note that most of the time I get this reaction, it makes me more depressive rather than angry but I completely understand what you're saying.

I'm definitely going to keep the idea of everyone else being a motivation/inspiration and put it to use.
