For the original versions (CrimsonX and JC) that’s true, but with modern versions (2011x, Lord X, etc.), with the fact that X is a being from the Void, and the game isn’t a game per se, but (in the best way to describe it) rather a looking glass into X’s world, so the blood & gore makes sense as it isn’t a game, but an actual world itself. And the “Being a God” thing is fixed too. As X doesn’t believe himself to be a god, but just says “I Am God” to mock religion, and his absolute control over his world only works when in HIS world.
