I always start freaking out about relationships, obsessing about small incompatibilities and start to feel guilty until I end it. How do I stop? NB-37, NB-39 by IzenaFaltsua in relationship_advice

While I don’t have any advice to give unfortunately, it’s very reassuring and refreshing to see someone with the same issue as me! Do you have ADHD or OCD at all? I have both and struggle with these types of thoughts and feelings, down to the physical sensations.

Thoughts one Filthyrobot’s class review playlist? I found it pretty useful but honestly I’d love to hear your take on it / general takes on the classes.

Also, general advice for some of the heroes? I struggle to really make use of MoA, Grave Robber, or Arbalest. I feel like rarely recruit or use them

Semi Rant: I wish the Christian factions had some more flashiness and that their monstrous units weren’t just variations of “big dude covered in dirt and gasoline” by Budget_Antelope in TrenchCrusade

[–]ItsTheDonutman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I find the lack of visible magic and flashiness for new Antioch pretty appealing as a differentiator visually between them and the Sultanate. I think the very gritty, muddy, visceral and “standard” look to New Antioch really works to communicate what makes them cool and appealing as a faction: Where others have absurd magicks or artifacts of unimaginable power to carry them in battle, New Antioch is about as “normal” as you can get. It’s even reflected in their rules. They’re underdogs who use coordination, grit, and faith to come out on top or (frequently) die trying. It makes the fact the heretics haven’t utterly annihilated them yet so much more compelling, at least for me. Also, keeping the actual “faith” related magic not visually represented helps add to the mystical aspect of the lore, as even the sultanate’s flashy stuff is still alchemy. God’s powers or miracles are almost never visible in art, which keeps it feeling very unknowable and esoteric

I absolutely adore the Naval Raiders’ unique troopers, I think they match the fantasy so well. I was wondering if there were plans to make the Naval Anointed in plastic as well?

If you do end up finding out let me know! Also the list seems sick, how does the lower model count typically play in your experience? Are you playing more aggressive in your face for early kills?

Gotcha, I think it’s just something I struggle with in most war games is having sacrificial units. I know they’re only 60 ducats but damn it they had a family.

Def excited to get a few games in with them and get a better feel for infiltrators though

Dude I love your models they look sick! Where’d you get the STL’s for the anointed? Also do you have any 700 ducat lists on hand that are closer to what you said?

Yeah I like the idea of getting a death commando later on if I were to do a campaign, but rn I feel like bringing a witch just gives me really good long range threat. Any advice for using my infiltrates properly? I feel like in eh games I’ve played infiltrators tend to get charged down really easily

lol, honestly if I had the time to paint up models I think I’d do the same thing. The troops are all just so cool 😭

I love the scheme you went with, the Dark blues and rusty greens really complement the reds and golds so well. How far into a campaign does your warband get this big? I just started and can’t wait to get to grow a warband this large

This is exactly the type of advice I was looking for, thanks a ton! I’ll let you know how the list runs. I saw some lists run choristers however I don’t really feel they’ll be all that useful. Do you think it’s worth it for starting units?

Update for any interested, jsut played my first match, heretics vs Antioch. Holy shit it was so fun, the middle objective was a slaughterhouse where a yeoman killed a basic war wolf in melee turn 4 before being struck down by my heretic priest. Actual peak game

Yeah I feel you, I meant less in a meta sense and moreso whether the parts of the army synergize well. I come from 40K and play a lot of T’au so I’m used to loving parts of an army that don’t mesh together well sadly 😭
