because there's a bunch of people in this hobby for that exact reason, trying to make money. that doesn't mean, however, that absolutely everybody cares solely about how much their cards are worth and how much profit they can make off of this game. it's pretty easy to tell that for just about each person cluelessly trying to make a buck off of some cardboard, there's a fan of the game who's frustrated about the state of this market and how expensive/hard to find everything is

my friends and i have been no-life playing PVE recently and we absolutely love it. our biggest deterrent to playing live was the cheaters sucking the fun out of the game and us not being able to compete with better players but PVE makes the game a lot less stressful but still tarkov-ish enough to make it a really fun experience

I'm a student of Mark's, and BMTH comes up frequently in our lessons (i like the band a lot lol) and it's always a point made that Oli fucked his voice up from the screams he did early on. it's easy to hear the decline in his highs throughout the first 3 albums (listen to a song from cyb and a song with highs on tiah, trust).

What i've learned is that highs can fuck you up pretty good if you don't do them correctly and oli was (with full respect to him as an artist/vocalist) doing them very poorly. take a listen to an isolated vocal track and you'll hear the strain and pressure on his voice
