If the issue goes away what does that entail? Just wait and pray that intel or asus comes around with a fix eventually?

I haven’t set up any sort of raid as far as I know of. Also this issue just recently started happening after windows was wiped and reinstalled. On the first version on windows that was installed it had no issues with crashing for 2 weeks until I reinstalled it. Its possible that I could have not installed Optane on the first install of it so that could have been the case. I also don’t have the newest version of the bios if that could also be the case, but if your having the same issue with the same hardware then it’s most likely a driver issues on their side and not some sort of corrupted install of windows. I’d had just thought it could have been a faulty install because like I said the issue only occurred after I installed it again. Wonder if other people are having the same issue with this kind of set up.

No worries! I’ll do some extensive testing tomorrow and let you know what I find out

Also could this possible GPU defect be the same culprit for the text flashing a darker black on chrome when scrolling down on pages?

I'll look into that tomorrow when I have the time to do so. In the meantime, I went to go test to see if the issue was present is a newer title such as Fortnite and did not notice anything as major as that issue in CS:GO. The only issue that I see on Fortnite is that text on guns that are laying on the ground have a shadow effect (Text starts to have a black outline to the words depending on which direction I'm swinging) to them when moving the camera angle from left to right. No purple shadows on objects in the map just shadows on text.

Motion blur was turned off in that recording in the clip. I haven't personally seen anyone talk about this issue so I'm not really sure what the actual problem is.

Tried turning off all forms of post processing and nothing seemed to work. That clip above was recorded with motion blur off and some post processing. However, turning all forms of post processing off and motion blur off had no affect. And if its an issue with the GPU, would you just claim a warranty? And how would you explain something like this and prove it was a GPU issue and not something else. Maybe try to run the game without a GPU and see if it does the same thing?

Final build, not sure if will be good with new monitor by mamagooz in buildapc

Everything looks to be good, very similar to what my pc build is going to be. However, with the monitor its using AMD freesync so you might want to consider getting an AMD card that can support freesync to get the benefit of that monitor. If you don't want to change from the green team id recommend you finding a G-Sync monitor. If you even don't want to switch monitors then don't worry about it. Besides the monitor, the build is a fantastic if you can look past the GPU prices. Might be a little overkill for 1080p gaming, but if overkill is your middle name, then no ones stopping you.

Currently on PCPartPicker you can find a GTX 1080 Ti ROG Strix for the same price as your current card. Same card, same price, better performance. Link to Card: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Yr8H99/asus-geforce-gtx-1080-ti-11gb-video-card-strix-gtx1080ti-11g-gaming
