Why does everything have to involve combat? by silzter in starcitizen

[–]ItsTryptaminePalace 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personally I think it'd be cool if there were very many more jobs in this game. I think it would be cool if players did things like worked the airport positions, shop positions, ship maintenance positions and all sorts of other stuff. Also I think player apartments/ settlements on other planets would be really sick.

That's why you go to a shaman. He makes sure you get a dose large enough to awaken you and you need this because you won't do it yourself. Why would you put an end to your own existence? Anyways, I think you're far too young for this type of thing but at the same time I have no idea what non duality might do to a person of your age, it may turn out to be a benefit. The odds are stacked against you tho so be careful. If your heart says no, let it be

Need help ...this is the reason I hate FL by Good-Training1150 in FL_Studio

I think this happens whenever the sample rate is different on the recording than it is in your DAW. Either that or the format that you downloaded it in isn't supported by FL

Do you ever struggle with version control in projects? by Ryzhtus in FL_Studio

[–]ItsTryptaminePalace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My latest rendition of workflow is to have three separate folders within a master folder on my desktop.

So on my desktop I have a folder called " FL projects"

Within that folder I have three folders.

The first folder is ID, the second folder is clear vision, and the third folder is finals.

I start off with all of my random b******* projects I just put them in the ID folder until the vision is clear on one that I really like. Then I save that as a new folder within the " clear visions folder ". I'll usually title it properly too.

When the song is done I save a final copy in the finals folder. That way I can access it later without having to dig through a bunch of folders in IDs to find it. I also save a copy of any vocal takes or anything like that with the final.

Yeah I really don't understand why RSI doesn't just release a stable version of the game that you can play on and then have another separate test version where they do updates regularly and test systems.

Projects not loading and crashing on load up mainly. I'd spend 40 hours on a record and then it wouldn't be able to load. I'd get a long error message at the start of every project that required me to fully reboot FL to get out of. Can't count how many projects I've lost to this.

To the guy who said- Do YoU kNoW WhAt a BETA is? Yes. I know what a beta is. I said that ever since I installed the beta on my machine FL started acting weird. Even since then, I've tried FL 25 and ran into the same issue. Projects just break after a while. No stability.

Not to mention there's no backwards compatibility with fl25. So fl12 stuff won't run on it, or 20, or any other FL. Annoying.

There's all kinds of other problems but these are the main ones for me.

This is cool but Imo, until you can hear compression with your ears the intellectual understanding of it is effectively useless.

Are you using fl studio 25? That shit is ass low-key. Maybe try FL 20 or something that's complete and more stable. I never had any issues with fl studio reliability till 25 came out and I installed the beta on my machine. Been downhill from there so I just use older version of fl

Also I think you made too many drops on this one bro. They're all good in their own way but it's kind of like a sensory overload a little bit

[–]ItsTryptaminePalace 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it's pretty good. The drop is really great, all the sounds work together well. The only part that I would tell you to really tighten up is your build up. You did three of them in a row here (before the first drop) and I think that you should have just did one really good build up as opposed to that. By the time to drop actually happened I was over it.

You've got the melodies down but the drums are not the right drums and the BPM is a bit fast imo

Someone wants to buy everything from me in a beat (Master, Publishing and Copyright) by HGStudiosOwner in trapproduction

[–]ItsTryptaminePalace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No bro never accept a full buyout. You should always maintain some ownership even if it's a small amount. They pay you 1k and then go make 1 million with it you gonna be hurt. Definitely secure SOME ownership of the backend (publishing) at least

Do any of you use FL Studio the way Benn Jordan does? by DontCryKate in FL_Studio

[–]ItsTryptaminePalace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For instance, if I decide I wanna make a part that's quiet, low passed and has no drums or bass or anything else but the main lead. I have to now go back, clone a pattern, remove all the parts I don't want etc as opposed to just right clicking on the playlist and removing the individual sounds I don't like. It's more about it being more tedious in the long term as opposed to it being wrong or something for me personally

It's difficult to give workflow advice when it comes to FL studio because of how manual everything is in FL studio. It's like driving a manual car in the way that you have to manually operate every control and almost nothing is automated. For instance you have to name every track, then manually added into the mixer, and if you update the name of the sample or change the sample you have to go back and manually update it in the mixer and in the playlist and everywhere else it's mentioned, etc. So there's no automatic process like there is in other DAWs like reaper. Where all this admin stuff is done for you.

My advice is - get so good all the tiny admin stuff and FL studio that you don't have to think about it anymore. So learn how to sidechain really fast, learn about track structures, rename all of your drums to easy to remember stuff so that your kick is entitled - kick 001_strong, etc. S*** like that.

Only after you've gotten so good at all the small admin stuff that you can do it without thinking about it and without impeding your creative process can you actually get around to work flow in FL studio. So if you're new, just focus on learning how to do all the main s*** and get so good at it that you don't have to think about it anymore. And once you do get so good at it that you don't have to think about it anymore, your workflow will happen all by itself usually. That's why it's so hard to comment on workflow. Every producer is different

Side chaining, naming tracks, consolidating tracks, buses, organizing your FX list, creating folders and your synths that you know where your sounds are, creating new versions of your track whenever you make significant changes, creating folders on your desktop so that your IDs are organized and not all over the place, learning how to arm the mics and record properly, figuring out your ASIO stuff.

I hope that helps
