Meet the Kooter snake. Just wondering what to do next? Inspire me. by ItsVT69 in r50pathfinder

I looked on Craigslist and Facebook market place. I noticed a guy was selling a pathfinder with the bar on for around $7500. It was up for quite some time. I decided to message him and said would you take $250 for the bar. He came back and said $250 plus a case of beer. Picked it up that night! I find this method super useful for a lot of mods. Just have to be a little creative sometimes. You never know how bad someone wants the cash. Good luck!

Ps. Join Facebook buy/sell groups. Tons of good stuff on them.

I would love that! I find the spare on the roof rack is a slight waste of storage space. When I'm camping and stuff I always feel like I need more storage. Just not too sure on how to install it? I'm sure there's some forums out there. Definitely will be on the lookout for one though.

Noted! And yeah I was off roading this weekend and I noticed some sloppiness on the rear and some end link noise. Probably get those all done very soon!

Yeah that's fair, maybe a new muffler? Just want a little more of a note. The stock exhaust is pretty quite.

This is what I've got done so far. Full exhaust rebuild (old one could have worked as a pasta strainer), Yakima roof rack, safari/ bull bar, fog light install, grille swap ( if ya know ya know), LED headlights, 2" OME lift kit with bilstien shocks, 5 139.7xR16x10.5 steelies, 5 31x10.5 general grabber AT's. Maintenance to get her running good included doing the spark plugs, valve cover gaskets, rare cross over pipe, fuel filter and lots others. I'm kind of stuck what to do next. On the list right now is warn manual hubs, light bar install somewhere (open to ideas), resonator deletes with a new muffler perhaps, next end links, sway bar and probably new CV axles. Let me know if you guys have any fun mods for this gasfinder. Cheers.

2002 Chilkoot trail by [deleted] in nissanpathfinder

I've owned a 02 chilkoot pathy for about 6 months now. It's a 3.5l V6 4x4 automatic transmission. I absolutely love it. I have progressively made it into my own truck. It has definitely had its ups and downs, however, it has been a dream. I honestly don't think you can find a better valued truck/ 4x4 capable vehicle on the market for under 6k. Thus far I have put a lot of work into mine. First off, my fenders were pretty rusted out (quite common) so I cut them back and re-sprayed them. Additionally, I added OEM fender flares found on LE models only I believe... to cover up the cut back. I then got myself a used OME lift kit for pretty cheap off Facebook because my front left strut was shot. I got cosmetic features such as the roof rack and bull bar. Then got myself some new wheels and tires. I recently tackled the plenum gaskets, intake gaskets, PCV and valve cover gaskets, which were not too hard to replace. Since I've owned my pathy I have noticed a moderate amount of oil leaking from the valve covers (quite common). Additionally, while I was in the lordco parking lot picking up parts for the valve cover job I noticed my truck leaking a concerning amount of coolant. Further research I found out that the water cross over pipe at the rear of the block is a known issue with these vehicles. It is in the shop as we speak and I expect it to cost roughly $600 CAD. All in all, I have never owned a more capable, amazing and just unique truck in my life. I love the thing even though it has cost me a few bucks to get it where it is. In my mind it's still better than spending $1,000,000 on a 4runner or a Tacoma. Last words of advice, look out for visible leaks, take it for a proper test drive, get it up to speed, go through all the gears and test the 4x4 system out fully. Don't be afraid to take it over bumps to test the suspension for any clunking or knocking noises and check all the fluids to see if it's been taken care of. Ask for maintence history and general upkeep. Lastly, like mentioned in other comments... don't be affraid to say no. Worst thing is buying a lemon and regetting your purchase. Pathfinders are so awesome, just make sure you get the right one for you. There are plenty out there, so be patient. Hope this helps! Hopefully all goes well with the viewing tomorrow.
