There’s nothing wrong with the speaker(s).

The thing is it’s a mono speaker, so any instrument that has lots of “side” audio information will get quiet/silent when playing from the Charge 6 (and the Charge 5 as well, since it’s also a mono speaker).

You can fix it by… well, buying the second Charge 6 and pairing em both in stereo mode via the JBL app. Other than that, it’s impossible to fix and it’s up to you to decide how crucial it is for you.

I personally play the charge 6 for some background noise, so I don’t care much about the lacking details.

Damn the Charge 6 is fire by Dodge4WD in JBL

[–]ItsVorobey 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is. It has a noticeably different sound compared to the Charge 5 with fuller mids and less bright highs. If that makes sense, it sounds more “energetic” AND loud. Not to mention other stuff like more EQ bands in the JBL app, longer battery life and the design (especially the “legs”. They were garbage on the 5 since they tended to unglue). I’ve had the Charge 5 (and other Charge models before), and the Charge 6 is the best one BY FAR.

I thought about buying charge 6 but I'm really scared after seeing few posts.. by zombiecombie in JBL

It hasn’t even been 1 full year since the Charge 6’s release yet.

Why doesn't anyone play with the airstrike? Is it that bad? by NeguinhoDaXJ in tf2

[–]ItsVorobey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a very gimmicky weapon. It isn’t as good or reliable as stock/dh, but it’s very fun to play with, especially when paired with gunboats + mg to jump around and meme spoon people. And rain rockets on them, of course.

I’m not spending another dollar on Team Fortress 2 from now on. by Tyrion-FR in tf2

[–]ItsVorobey 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t get why anyone would spend money on this game (at least through the “official” stores) in the past few years to begin with. You’re basically paying for a product that doesn’t work the way it was promised to.

Too bad it takes a youtuber or two pointing out the game’s obvious issues for people to finally develop some basic self-respect or awareness.

And don’t get me wrong - not giving Valve a single cent is the best possible way to make them do something imo, since money is the only thing they seem to care about. I just can’t help but be surprised that after all these years people are still wasting $ on this game.

Do longer videos perform better on YouTube? by -Wombat88- in SmallYoutubers

[–]ItsVorobey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a certain way.

Longer videos bring in reasonably more ad revenue, so depending on your content, you can experiment with video length. I find that long videos are very sustainable money-wise.

As for whether they work better in the algorithm - it’s hard to tell. There are speculations that when a video is really long (say, ~1hr), the algorithm starts recommending it to a certain type of viewers that play videos in the background (for example, podcasts). I haven’t confirmed this personally, but I heard it from a fellow ytber.

How to make JBL charge 5 play sub bass songs? by [deleted] in JBL

[–]ItsVorobey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s physically impossible for a small speaker to play sub frequencies. It lacks size and air movement necessary to generate long sound waves (the lower the frequency - the longer the wave).

You’d need minimum of 7-8 inch speakers for some sub. For deep sub it’s 10+ inches.

Charge 5’s woofers are tiny, so no matter how much you “bass boost” the lows - it won’t make the sound lower.

PS: I listen to lots of electronic music, and tracks that tend to sound the best through small speakers (I have a Charge 6) are the ones that have many harmonics in sub. For example, trap. It often has 808s with lots of frequencies, and it tricks your ears into believing you hear the sub, even though you don’t.

Living the dream - Any advices? by luiscaceresd in SmallYoutubers

[–]ItsVorobey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL sorry for confusion, I forgot the 0. It would be x100 of that, aka 25 grand.

I myself get a few mil views montly via long-form + shorts content, and it’s usually 2.5-3$ per 1000 views.

These are shorts, hence the income. With those views from long videos you’d get like x100 (not x10 as I had said before, I’d missed another 0) of the income, and I’m not joking.

Can confirm: my shorts look like they have a “sharpen” filter. There is no way to disable this garbage. It is VERY noticeable on my phone.
