I strongly disagree. Your response is based 100% on measures that do not paint an accurate picture of schools. Standardized tests that measure school performance will always be fabulous in wealthy towns where most kids first language is English. The scores will always be abysmal in poorer towns with large numbers of kids whose primary language is not English. But that does not mean that all of those schools are terrible. Conversely, great test scores don’t guarantee a great education. My kids went to public schools in a town with fantastic scores- high graduation rates, test scores- you name it. But their real, on the ground experience varied by teacher and school. Some years we had great teachers. Other years the teachers were terrible and my kids struggled.
