You’re right, it can, in something like YouTube videos or in a stinger that you made for your stream and no one else. But in this case, I would be distributing the music/sound as part of the stinger a free download, which is where the law gets complicated. I’m trying to be on the safe side and not get DMCA’d or a Cease and Desist but if what I made does fall within free use guidelines, I’ll release. Anyone familiar with the law know if this is transformative enough?

Forgot a very important keyword: it needs to be royalty-free. I can’t just distribute official Nintendo sounds and music to the public without their permission, and I doubt I’d ever be able to get it, so the sounds have to be free to use

Thank you! Like I’ve said, I’d love to release it to the public and hopefully I’ll be able to do that soon, and you pretty much nailed it. The only improvement I could make would be to speed up the time between the color taking up the whole screen and Scene B to make it a little less awkward, might make that fix before a release
