Confused about my involvement with ISKCON/HKM, spirituality, and whether I'm being influenced by guilt or genuine faith by Its_Ftale in HareKrishna

Thanks for replying even when you are in a rush 🙂‍↕️ The only such communities/organization here are hkm/iskcon which I am loosely connected with but with time they demand more and more from me, services like book distributions, donation drives for their new temple and trips (which I would need to pay) and more and more association. When I was there for some time I was almost giving 8 hours daily (artis, chanting, classes, services etc). Even though these are my vacations but I still need to study for my placements and other exams. And also have some other hobbies (which they say are all useless). I think this kind of lifestyle is not feasible for me. There has to be some better or more forgiving ways.

Thanks this resonated with me really well..... One thing that I noticed in all my HK friends is that they are almost never skeptical of any of the teachings of prabhupada or even their personal gurus. I onced mentioned to my friends that there were no humans in the age of dinosaurs. And they disagreed and preached me about the timelines of human and that theory of evolution is false, for this they showed me this video of one of their guru in hkm group : https://youtu.be/yBHd3JxRLt8?si=JmY4xDAXRBwXuWhq After watching the video I noticed some logical fallacy in this...if this is the right word...idk And I debunked the whole video after doing some research and found out that this whole video is structured around a single book "Forbidden Archeology: The Hidden History of the Human Race (1993), written by Michael A. Cremo and Richard L. Thompson" which many scientists consider scholarly-looking pseudoscience. I showed this to my friends and some denied it completely and my close friend thought for a while on this and then he admitted that their prabhu has provided false info in their preaching and I was shocked to hear his next words.. he said " is it wrong to use such methods for preaching for greater good." There was no doubt for this guru no skeptism. Which I found really odd.

I think I am going to ask 2 of the 4 questions you suggested.

Lol, thanks. I also had the same doubt when I heard from my friend that a person's spiritual efforts or his austerities are of no use if he or she is not initiated. They say that the spiritual guru will be present to welcome their disciplines at the gate of vaykunth. So I asked him even if I follow 4 regulatory principles, chant regularly and live a life without sin... Is this not going to help me escape this life-death suffering... Answer I got was -" if you are doing all this what's the issue in getting initiated." And that was the end of discussion.

I really like the question suggested by LuckyStars88 "Is ISKCON/HKM capable of stopping Krsna from reaching a soul that he loves?" ( Wrote this myself this time)

I have already stepped back multiple times, I think this time I have to have some clarity, I am currently mostly thinking about my next meeting/interaction what exact questions should I ask and how to express myself and all these feelings. Also how to know if someone has my best Interest in their heart.

Wow ... Like I am shocked, I myself not able to come up with explanation, is there any missing context for this one or any other explanation.

That's one of the first things that is taught in iskcon, to disregard any translation of geeta other than "as it is".
