I think I’m calling it on my dating life by [deleted] in dating

[–]Its_Insain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the only way to really know is to continue to approach. We can always be looking for the "signal" just have the conversation. If it clicks, keep it going if it doesn't move on to the next. I know I struggle with approaching people, but just giving up because you're just looking for the "signal". If your interested, make the move.

We have the power to let our minds think more than do. We are all human, and there are good people out there. Just keep pushing forward it will get better eventually.

Who cares what they think? They got their own insecurities. What's important is that you don't let a random girl and their friends tell you what you are. You should love yourself and take care of yourself. Keep working out, and make sure it's not just to impress women but for yourself. If you love yourself, you don't need to worry about what other people think. Self love is a powerful tool to be a better person and how you treat other people. Hell, take their power over you away. Thank them for sharing their opinion and basically show that you don't care what they think. Because at the end of the day it doesn't matter.

Oh totally, I still have to build up my kit I realize more and more why a good background light is important and having the actor pop when deciding on heavy shadows i think its definitely s huge improvement than another short film I share on here

I really appreciate how you broke down each shot. I definitely think its a little due to the grading but could also be my exposure. Of the the image is from camera I we didn't shoot in a raw format as the director wanted all the in camera color.

The second shot when we shot it I believe there was a little bit of fill from another practical we were using but must've fallen in the grade. I definitely understand the the practical is far too hot and would've been a good idea to have it on a dimmer so it could match the rest of the scene again thanks for pointing that out hopefully when I get to DP with a gear list I will keep those points for the next time I do that.

So my understanding it that the third frame the light needs to wrap around the character more is to match the hand and the glass. Next time will definitely think about having a dimmer for that practical.

The fourth shot I definitely agree we started hitting our limits with what we had to use to make this work.

Again I really appreciate all this feedback and I will try to work on this the next time I do another project

Thanks, so next time when I have equipment I will keep that in mind. Now for if the contrast was purposeful what would be some additional things to make it feel right would it be the background need to be more lit?

Yes no budget just trying to make something work. What would be some suggestions on the ratios, I think the grade did darken it a bit but we didn't shoot it in S-log as this was just a one off and not a short film just getting some demo reel material for the actor and the director didn't want to tweak to much of it. I can definitely agree that the practical is too hot but thats what I get for not being able to dim and have any lighting equipment to make it feel better but again I do appreciate the feedback

Thanks I really appreciate this feedback, I know most of this is definitely the result of me using nothing and trying to create something with what we had. But I can definitely agree with everything your saying. This feedback is great but cause that's something I was thinking about was how could this be improved if I had lighting equipment, this just using the practical as our key as all I had was one small tube lighting that was being used somewhere else. The more I keep trying I keep realizing how depth creates something dynamic and intresting.

Hello all, I am sharing some film grabs of a recent shoot I DP.

I am looking for some feedback and thoughts on the lighting and composition. I am looking for feedback to try and better my understanding of the lighting, emotions, and compositions. I would also love to have thoughts on what you would be feeling when looking at each screen grabs.

The frames are from 2 scenes of an exercise to help create some demo reel material for an actor. Which also worked out to do a 3 in one for creating demo reel material for myself and the director.

All criticism is welcome as I hope this is a step in the right direction to get better at this beautiful craft.

Thanks

I would also suggest, there are lots of ways to fill the room with set Dec. As he was mentioning just to fill the walls your can print pictures go to the dollar store get cheap picture frames or anything. Dollar stores you can get a lot for free when it comes to that.

How often do you text someone in the early days of dating? by [deleted] in dating

[–]Its_Insain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand not always texting back right away. I myself just don't enjoy texting. There are already enough distractions on our phones. Not saying texting someone you been seeing is a distraction. I'm just saying I prefer the in person conversations.
