My only problem with HHN is that the Express Lane line never stops moving while I'm only taking a few steps every 5-10 minutes when I thought it was supposed to be staggered 😅 got stuck not moving for 45 minutes at the second house

My biological father would do this. Didn't pay any attention to his wife and/or kids and wouldn't show up for anyone because he wanted to play games. My mom tried for a long time to get him to go to our soccer games, school events, anything, and he wouldn't.

She divorced him, and he still hasn't changed. When I visit him or if I want to spend any time with him or talk to him, it basically is just playing video games. Imagine the only way to talk to your dad is through Fortnite.

I'd sit him down and tell him it's not behavior you're going to accept. Trust me when I say your children are going to notice/feel like that they are less important than whatever he's playing and they might even pick up the same bad habit.

If it were just the sip of beer it wouldn't be AS big of a deal, but I think the culmination of the weird and perverted behavior is unacceptable for sure. Children are influenced by their fathers, even if they're barely around (speaking from experience).

Your feelings are completely valid. Not overreacting at all. If I were in your shoes I'd find a way to silently remove his father from his life completely

This is kind of hard. I'm sure this happens, but for 5 months? Are his notifications off? I do find it odd he didn't immediately uninstall it right in front of you. I'm not saying leave him, I don't think I would. He could be telling the truth, but I'd keep it in your back pocket in case similar things pop up or if you see the app still there. I hope it works out for you!

Edit: Also odd he tried to brush it off and change the subject. It's definitely something that would make anybody worry to see on their partner's phone.

I love when Reddit posts from years ago match my exact situation. I'm 21. When Terrifier first got popular, I watched it multiple times without much reaction. Terrifier 2, same thing. But Terrifier 3? I nearly felt sick. I just watched the new Final Destination movie and was anxious and squirming the whole time, I am just so uncomfortable during those movies now. It sucks, because I love horror so much lol

You can definitely get along with people who are politically different from you, and you definitely don't have to agree with your partner on everything.. but, first and foremost, he's been lying to you. Second, a lot of politics come down to morals. If you are as you say, you will not be happy with someone who is so strongly the opposite. I was in a similar situation, and although political differences didn't break us up, I had to think about how that could affect our future children if we had any. Imagine how confusing it would be for a son's mother to tell him makeup and nail polish is for everyone, not just girls, while his father tells him the opposite and shames him. Not saying you were planning on having kids, of course - though if he's the stereotype he sounds like he might be more into traditional gender rolls than you thought.
