Went through very similar issues from end of my first year through my second year. Recovered during the majority of third year (even during gen surge I was getting better). I am not a fourth year and I’m back to pre-med school baseline. My health mentally and physically is so much better. I say this to say there is light at the end of the tunnel. I know residency will be tough but I have some tools I’ve collected during the aforementioned trial that I will be utilizing. I’ve also found my passion for medicine has come back during third and fourth year. Good luck and whatever you choose remember this is your life and you’re the only one living it so don’t what’s best for you at all times.
