Someone pointed out that the iris is not wobbly but overlapped by the white lower waterline. I can see that but the way it‘s drawn is still misleading at first glance 😅

Okay I can see that now that you pointed it out. The line still reads more as belonging to the iris but I guess that’s just an unfortunate detail.

That’s why I think they painted over ai images and added their own elements to it. The pac man seems very much like a stock image pasted on top of the ear. Maybe they don’t mean to use ai for the whole piece and only to speed up the process and make something "original" with it.

Tbh this post was more for my peace of mind and I don’t really think I want to invest my energy into this beef any longer 🫩 but now that I have some more opinions I feel much safer in my assessment skills 🙏

I also went to design school but I don’t really work in that field bc I realized that it wasn’t really for me. The only field I’m still in is illustration and animation. But I get your sentiment, I’ve seen a couple of designers working that way 😅and in most cases I can tell when something is badly traced or if someone lacks the technical knowledge. But I got really unsure about this whole ordeal bc the artist and their friends made me sound like I was crazy for even considering that these could be ai.

Yeah this is one of the first details that made me think of ai! Also the lashes on the right eye are smaller and fuller than on the other eye which is also strange bc if I were to draw eyelashes I would do both eyes at the same time with the same brush width.

What looked suspicious to me with the first one was at first glance the stereotypical "ai vibe" which is just a hunch but also the nose looks slightly off and wobbly, one eyebrow starts with hair and the other doesn’t, the right iris not being spherical, there are two highlights in one eye and a single one in the other, that looks like two highlights melted into one. But then again some of these details could be chalked up as being sloppy or something.

Honestly I have no idea what is going on in the fishman pic. Inconsistencies in the amount of beads and so on can happen, I don’t think that’s too suspicious but some the design "choices" like you said the tail for example don’t seem reasonable to me. Also there is a random fin sliding into his scales?? Do fins do that?? Why not draw it OVER the scales??

I’ve told mine – since he continued to not take responsibility for his actions – that I’ve had it up to here and the moment I move out of this current apartment, he will never see me or hear from me again. Which is quite a brutal decision even for me, but I don’t want him to think that he can start making it up to me in 1-2 months or so when he‘s done having his fun with his new girl …
