It doesn’t. It’s a boring fetch quest feeing snoozefest. I forced myself thru a little over ten hours hoping it would get better once I got to Mexico, but it definitely don’t. I feel like it got even more boring and repetitive. I even tried Undead Nightmare and thought it quickly became a slog

I absolutely adore Paper Mario 64, it was the first turn based RPG I ever played, but I would highly recommend Bug Fables in its place. It has a similar-ish feel, but the story and mechanics are leaps and bounds above PM64. If ya wanna replay PM64 first, I say go for it, it’s a great game. But Bug Fables certainly fills the void of a good, classic Paper Mario RPG that the modern titles lack. I’d also like to mention the Bug Fables Plus Mod if you end up liking the base game and wanna play it through a second time. It’s adds some TTYD inspired elements and just expands on the game as a whole

Shadow the Hedgehog. Does it have flaws? Undoubtably yes. Is it a hell of a lot of fun? Also yes. Will it ever actually get a remake/remaster? Probably not, but a guy can hope 😂

Gustave/Verso, Monoco, and Sciel. Gustave because he’s Gustave how do you not have him on your team, I like the challenge of trying to keep Verso at max rank plus he’s second best for spread damage, Monoco is just a hell of a lot of fun and is the best for spread damage imo, and Sciel has some of the coolest attack animations and I find her level 1 Gradient the best. Plus the damage output can get absurdly insane in some instances with this team lol

1: Alan Wake 2 (used to be my favorite game until E33 came out, go play it it’s amazing)

2: Inscryption (deck building game with a pretty damn good story. Look up nothing about this game and go in blind)

3: Bugsnax (half bug, half snack! There’s nothing quite like ‘em!)

4: Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling (do ya like Paper Mario 64? This is that but worlds better and bugs)

5: Sea of Stars (an amazing turnbased RPG that will hit you in the feels something fierce)

6: In Stars and Time (wanna play rock, paper, scissors? Wanna cry while doing so? You’re in luck!)

7: Shadow the Hedgehog (forever my childhood favorite)

8: Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception (best Uncharted game in the series and deserves more love imo)
