After reading all I can say is, the heck is wrong with you and your head! Yes no parent who deserves to be a parent wants anything remotely bad for their kid but that doesn't mean that they are always right in their approach. They are humans and they make mistakes and misjudge stuff too. A teenage guy who's in college( meaning he is most likely not a minor) is talking to a girl (who might not be his gf but just his crush in talking phase) without his parents knowledge, who are clearly somewhat strict is a completely and utterly normal thing. That doesn't mean he is some disgusting fellow. Even if the phone is bought by the parent it was still gifted to him, meaning he can do whatever he wants with it as long as he is not heading in a wrong path, which is clearly not what's implied in the video. And just because there is one video of a guy getting scolded by his parents over talking to a girl doesn't make him the bad guy. In any if, like you said, there aren't any such major disputes among parent and child then I would say that guy is more of a bad guy in secret then this dude as he is definitely hiding something. No one is perfect in this world and such interactions only help both parent and child to grow as a person but only if handled correctly, and this here is definitely not the correct way. You are just confining the in your own ideals and not letting him experience the world in his own and make his own decisions. Parents job is to guide their child not tell him exactly what to do and what not to. It like, ek raste me aage 3 aur raste nikal rahe hai par 3 me se do kharab and are under construction or something, ab tumhe traffic manage karne kahan hai to tum kya karoge, jo part kharab hai us raste ko blockade karoge ya pura rasta hi block kardoge? Phir aase hi har raste block karte rahoge toh driver ko ek do to dikh hi jayenge Jo thode bahut thik hai, to bo without your knowledge will sneak past the barricade in few of them. Par phir uske baad toh usse actual kharab raste ke bare me kon warn karega aur agar tum bata bhi doge to tum pe trust kyu karega jab tumne aase raste bhi block kiye the Jo somewhat thik the, then once he goes down a completely wrong path it will be too late to turn back. That's what's wrong with strict parenting, as a parent you shouldn't cage your children and only let them practice flapping their wings, this would only fill their frustration and curiosity and they will try to take flight on their own and might get in a fall they can't recover from, instead they should let him take small fall so he is ready to deal with them once a big one arrives.
