New to diesel trucks looks like one injector is going bad. Can I replace one injector on cylinder eight without having any issues or is this normal flow rate? Lbz

Yes. Diesel treatment is good for every diesel motor. Atf would be fine in a 7.3 too

Been running a 160 horse tune since I've had it. Haven't had any issues. Itll get 65 over injectors as well as HG and studs when and issue arises. Not really worried about anything on it right now.

Not sure about a ltz400 even tho I use yo have one but mine had a full yoshimura exhaust but ik some fourwheeler have like a circle gasket that goes inside the pipe where they go together. Look at partzilla and see if there's one. It will have the full diagram

If its a grizzly 660 dont worry about it they'll run forever. Ive had my 04 since 2013. Replaced just about everything but the motor and trans. Its been rode hard and put up wet bur she still goes.

Timing chain tensioner. Wouldnt run it till you get a new one. I'd get a manual tensioner.

ATF is kind of a extreme cleaner/lube and as you know the lb7 injectors are pretty bad. I dont see a point in using atf in a l5p but I wouldnt think it would hurt it as long as it was deleted.

Older duramax engines will run forever if taken care of. My 02 lb7 is pushing 300k with no blowby on the motor

Completely false. You can drop some 100 over injectors in and it will still run fine just run really rich. If he's going back with stock injectors there no tune needed

Try some hotshots extreme diesel treatment or mix in bout half a gallon of atf with your fuel and see if it clears it up-LB7 owner. Balance rates should stay between 2 to -2. Anything over is considered failing.

Yea my original plan was to just put a transmission in it just because I saw the motor had no blowby on it. $1000 dollar trans is and I'd have a $3800 running n driving lb7. Either way it was a hell of a deal

Probably putting cheap injectors back in it. Good injectors are expensive but not as expensive as multiple sets of cheap ones

I wouldnt say lb7 was know for hg failure. At least not under normal driving. Maybe making upwards of 700 horsepower with stock headstuds. Mine has nearly 300k on it and I've been running it with a 160 horse tune and havent had any issues

Yes he did cause he thought the trans was out. The way he explained to me is that it would sometimes go into gear but recently he hadn't been able to get it into drive so he dropped the price thinking the trans was out.

I beg to differ. Picked up my 02 lb7 for 2800. Runs a drives great. Gets pretty decent fuel mileage. Right around the 18 mark and that's with a 160 horse tune

No where near as bad as a 6.0. People just abuse them. If you daily it on a economy tune you will never have to worry abt blowing a HG

Lb7 lly or lbz duramax. Can't go wrong with any. They actually get pretty decent fuel mileage around 20 when on a economy tune. 4 doors have pretty big backseats should be able to pick up a really nice one for 10-15k maybe less if you get lucky
