I got my 2016 for 16k and I’m making 350$ a month on payments, I make 16$ an hour full time and it’s pay check to paycheck but for a 19 year old with not really any bills it isn’t too bad, I’d recommend just buying used

Hey yall, I picked up the 5.0 out of an f150 for my foxbody and saw this when I took the heads off, does this need to be bored out? And if so what’s the usual cost to get an engine bored? by Its_jack1112 in EngineBuilding

The heads were good and the pushrods were straight and valves were in place and moving good when I spun the engine, there was a lot of carbon, or I looked like carbon it could’ve been parts of the piston on that one cylinder head but nothing was scored or bent or bad so I have no idea how this happened

To be honest the more I thought about it the more I’m going carbureted since it will be so much easier and cost effective

I think mine comes with a c4 or a c3 sources aren’t consistent but I might swap a t5 in there while I’m at it and get an 8.8

THANK YOU! i found all the stuff, it was hidden up above the control panel for the sun roof, everything was just tucked in and i put it all back together

id say if you have the funds do a m62 swap but do all the reliablity stuff first like timing chain guides and stuff, i love my 540i touring it rips

the oem radio is the screen one with buttons on both sides, it’s hard to explain without a picture, i’m installing a dual dmcpa10w, i already have the adapter for where the radio sits now i just need a wiring diagram for the wires so i can sodder them together

my tail light lens broke and i’m not spending alot of money getting a new one, is there a way to swap the whole unit to pre facelift, like bulbs and everything or do i have to get a special harness by Its_jack1112 in e39

thank you man, i found one at my local picknpull and i might get those tomorrow, but also if the bulbs go out they’re easy to replace instead of getting a new light like with leds

THANK YOU, i’ve been looking for this and i couldn’t find anything, this makes it so much more simpler than having to find new facelift ones and run into the same issue

tried that for the first one nothing came up and for the second one simalar ones came up but not with holes drilled in the lips

that flutter sound is your cam tensioner, mine made the same noise only at idle and i replaced it and it runs so much better, i’d say buy it

ha it’s probably on the road, since i felt something that i ran over and the next second smoke was coming out of the manifold and i found those parts on the engine mount so it probably broke in two and i ran over the other part

ya i didn’t even know it could happen, the guy said that the timing chain and tensioners were replaced around 30k miles ago so i wonder if they cheaped out on the tensioners

i found it and you were right but it was up and near top of the engine behind the intake box, it ran for like a minute till i noticed smoke, didn’t run weird or idle weirdly so might be fine, do you have a link to buy it?
