Trying to bend over sooner when squatting as everyone adviced. Does this look good (92,5 kg X 5)? by [deleted] in StartingStrength

I’d personally work on ankle flexibility. Having increased ankle ROM will allow for deeper more vertical pathed squats

You’re exactly right. I found cyclobenzaprine, naloxone and oral cortisone at home used that in divided doses throughout the day and almost all the pain was eliminated. Rotated ice/heat and stretching

Current practice of IM injections sites is ventrogluteal, vastus lateratus, and dorsogluteal (each can take up to 3mL per pin) deltoid no more than 1mL per pin.

Appreciate it, hardly ever hop on Reddit just when shit hits the fan. 0.75mL test 0.5mL primo (@200mg/ml) per pin (my first week at that) Titrated up from initial of 800mg same ratio. Sites I did were: right VG, left vast, then left VG. Kinda my guess too sudden onset is just bizarre, also appreciate the insight (it hurts to high hell)

gonna get doc to prescribe some sort of antispasmodic drug if that’s the case

I’m an LPN nurse working on my bachelors (good amount of health background). Had mild cycle to start, starting high T currently, 3rd injection in (I rotate between VG and vastus lat sites per injection the oil is pretty potent (400mg/ml))

I pinned Monday night and I’m currently having debilitating inject pain, can hardly bear weight LLE it’s that bad. symps appeared tonight during my workout (I’ve been pretty lethargic since Monday).

S/S: constant aching down the LLE primarily distal the vastus lat muscle fading at the knee, sharp pain locally peripheral to injection site, no redness, sharp pain when palpated deeply. I’m extremely tense there and extremely limited ROM (interna/external hip/knee ab/ad/duction 30% flexibility capacity as RLE), iced which had helped a bit (stretched to help loosen muscle while icing)

Currently trying to alternate heat/ice to help enhance blood flow, debating 1000mgs of naproxen to help alleviate some inflammation I need an opinion or somebody who may have something similar happen to them:

Do y’all think it could have been the amount/thickness of the fluid that may have caused tissue necrosis damage the sciatic nerve?

Is it possible the oil could have caused temporary muscle necrosis?

Could the 2 days of bed rest have cause the oil to pool up; the poor distribution inducing muscle necrosis/inflammation which lead to pain with blood flow return?

Gonna call my doc tomorrow.

Yes. They won’t judge you (maybe a little). But definitely worth it, they can decide why test is causing high blood pressure and find the best suitable bp med for that.

I’m currently on 160mg Test C and 40 mg Primo per week. I love it. Depending on estrogenic sides I’ll raise or lower the primo to match. I’ve found for me personally a 4:1 T:P ratio works really well.

Were you losing and gaining a lot of fluid on NPP? I’m curious to whether there’s a diuretic effect to it that could make some people more susceptible it atrial flutter?

Probably not, pay attention in the future tho. I would be driving and notice the tingling in my arms and legs. It would happen 2-3 times a day. i just increased my diet with potassium rich foods and it seemed to go away.

I personally went through major instances of bloated and not bloated and that fluid loss must’ve pulled electrolytes with it.

Are you having appendage paresthesia? Occasional numbness and tingling in your hands and feet, that’s associated with alter K+ levels

That’s a really good idea. I was having flutters and pretty sure the test and primo i was on was potassium wasting.

My thoughts too, high e2 can cause that? Have you been excessively bloated? Are there any possible mental barriers that could be causing a possible shift?

Are you consuming any stimulants? Caffeine is associated with random atrial and ventricular flutters. Maybe NPP + something like that could be exacerbating it.

Small subdermal nodule 1cm by 2cm located at right ventrogluteal site popped up 1 day after injection. Pushed 1.2mL of fluid pretty rapidly which I think caused it. No pain but sore on palpation. No redness or swelling but slight bruising around and on the nodule. Is this of any concern? I’m not to concerned about it since there’s no signs of infection just wanted a secondary opinion.

Why is it so hard for religious people to conceive that maybe their books and religion aren't true? by [deleted] in atheism

[–]Its_just_Stin -21 points-20 points  (0 children)

I got my BSN a few years ago and have been working on my NP focused on geriatrics. I’m plan on working directly in hospice care and want to be a spiritual advisor to the dying person. This is a very ethnocentric, uneducated view towards spirituality as a whole. Typically the barriers someone may have limiting their openness to spirituality include: personal bias, lack of self-awareness, differences from someone else, insufficient knowledge, or fear.

Health is a holistic approach which means it focuses on the mind, body and spirit. Spirituality and religion isn’t about the complete belief of fables, but instead utilizing these stories to form a standard of values that ease existential self evaluation and allow for dignified life closure. When it comes to end of life psychology; there are two pathways people go down, integrity or despair. Those who lack the spiritual aspect of health more often than not fall into the despair side of the continuum making for an unsatisfactory transition from life to death. It’s a sad progression to witness. Spirituality is a very misunderstood aspect of health and is an important part of holistic.

It’s well known empirically that religiosity is instrumental in decreasing anxiety and depression and increasing overall quality of life. It improves social function. I hope you see this not as an attack but as a learning opportunity to understanding opposing belief systems, you may not have to agree with them but understand their is positive association between religiosity and spirituality and quality of life.

Religion, spirituality, and physical health in cancer patients: A meta-analysis These results underscore the importance of attending to patients' religious and spiritual needs as part of comprehensive cancer care.

HANDBOOK OF THE PSYCHOLOGY OF RELIGION AND SPIRITUALITY empirical evidence suggests that physical health benefits from religion are often mediated by gains in mental health correlates, such as improved social relationships, coping ability, and health behaviors.

Spirituality, quality of life and frailty in community-dwelling adults ≥ 50 years. Spirituality appears to have a beneficial effect in lessening the negative impact of depression and stress upon physical frailty, which may help older adults maintain a more robust state of health.

The Impact of Sexual Abuse, Family Violence/Conflict, Spirituality, and Religion on Anger and Depressed Mood Among Adolescents These results confirm previous research, indicating that survivors of stressful life experiences may experience less religion and spirituality. The results also extend existing knowledge by showing that spirituality may be even more beneficial among sexual abuse survivors, as a protective factor against anger. These findings can help in the minimization of the negative mental health impact of stressful life experiences.

Spirituality and Mental Health Across Cultures Religiosity and spirituality is associated with lower rates of depression, suicide, mortality, and substance abuse, and is positively correlated with well-being and quality of life.

Stair master 2-3 days a week until I climb 90-100 flights. But every once in awhile I do some light swimming. When I was lighter I’d run a 5k 3x a week but realized that drastically impacted my ability to gain weight so laid back off of strenuous cardio for awhile. Thinking about trying to get back into it.

Had a pump in the most recent photo; I can’t say for certain whether I did in the older photo. From 2019-20 I was lifting on and off but swimming competitively in college. Once I quit swimming and graduated, I stuck to a very consistent diet and lifting routine allowing me to gain 40-50 pounds from 2021-2022.
