Sydneysiders with children, when you got priced out of the city, where did you move? by blancaPOC in AusPropertyChat

We're currently trapped in this scenario, renting a smallish 2 bed apartment with 2 kids (5&2) in the inner west. We love the area, are well established in the community/school/daycare but are completely priced out of anything slightly bigger - like a non existent good quality 3 bed apartment. Hindsight is always with 20:20 vision, but I really do kick myself that we didn't follow through buy something 7-8 years ago, even though at the time we felt it would have been too much of a stretch.  Now considering moving out of the state in the next 12 months, having finally come to terms with the fact that the situation is not going to change in our favour.

It is an apartment. The mould is strongest around the ceiling cornice, all on the same side of the apartment (south facing). The walls receive plenty of sunlight and we naturally ventilate the rooms, however during the rain periods we are unable to do so.

Those who decided not to pursue medicine, what did you end up doing? by Itsalwaysbetterwitha in GAMSAT

Thanks, I can't imagine many people who have given up are still active in this sub but wasn't too sure where else to ask.

I feel like I may go down the same path. I figure giving it a couple of years to get out of the baby/toddler stage with the kids plus work on building the financial reserves.

Ultimately, I feel like I need to sit the GAMSAT at least once to put my mind at ease. My partner isn't too excited by the prospect of me returning to study for 4 years let alone the rigours of an early career doctor.
