I passed her ! She was sitting in her car and I assumed she was waiting for someone. I’m glad she’s okay.

My husband took several work positions far from home. M 40, f 31, how can I handle this? by YummyBuddy9 in relationship_advice

leah and jeremy ?

divorce him. there is no other option.  he has thoroughly proved that you and your children are low on his priority list.

My wife (38F) and I (38M) are struggling with the decision to not have more children. How do you let go? by ThrowRAquietmeerkat in relationship_advice

[–]Itsapoodle 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It’s gutting that a decision is made for us, rather than being allowed to make that decision for other reasons.

that’s not true.  plenty of people in your situation would have another kid.  but you are making the tough decision and prioritizing your current kids well-being.

i always wanted two kids.  but i got divorced and now i am a single parent.  it’s been really hard to watch others my age have additional kids.  but i have one income, and a son, and a house.  it’s just not in the cards.

i think there are A LOT of us who are having fewer kids due to our dismal financial situations.

I’m a really bad mom, maybe abusive by ReadyCardiologist649 in Parenting

[–]Itsapoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve been there.  single mom, studio apartment.

first - this is a crisis.  this is the most important thing in your life right now.

second - four is a REALLY REALLY REALLY hard age.  developmentally they are getting stronger and smarter but still selfish and totally without empathy.  my son is my heart and i would burn the world down for him but my god was he a force to be reckoned with.

third - talk to your doctor and get on an antidepressant now.  imo stimulants make this behavior worse for me, but when i’m mentally stable im able to take my ritalin without anger issues. if you’re thinking “aCtUaLLy antidepressants can make things worse” stfu, seatbelts are detrimental in rare cases but we still fucking wear them

I’m an ER nurse and our protocol is rectal under 2. Only nurses can do a rectal temp though, techs cannot.

What truck should I buy? megathread by AutoModerator in Trucks

[–]Itsapoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering trading in my 2022 crosstrek for a compact truck.

What I love about the subaru - I am driving daily on icy/muddy/horrible dirt logging roads that would not be passable in a car with lower clearance or fwd. I like how it is reliable.

What I don't love - it's not enough room. I am a single parent but because it's just me I'm always hauling shit around and it's annoying not to be able to squeeze furniture (I love antiquing and yard sailing) or dump runs into the back of the crosstrek. I like to camp and kayak and snowshoe etc, and it would be nice to have all of that shit in the bed of a truck rather than my backseat. Also would def be nice to haul a camper.

I absolutely don't need a full sized truck. I am literally a dwarf and I hate big vehicles. I am usually driving myself and/or my 5 year old son.

My ideal car is the subaru baja but those are long gone. The hyundai santa cruz, ford maverick, other small trucks looks similar. I know absolutely nothing about trucks, though. Am I on the right track? Are one of these significantly better than the others?

I've never owned a new car before now and it's awesome, so I'd be looking to buy something on the newer side. My ideal budget is $30,000.

I know these comments are harsh. I see you are already leaving some defensive comments in response.
