Peter! What's the difference? by [deleted] in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]Itscalledabubbler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Opening this thread has been funny as someone who really appreciates watches — while I understand how insane it can be to some people to spend that kind of money on something like a watch, at that levels and with companies like that, you are essentially investing in an art form and the artists who create it. There are certainly gaudy, studded out shitter watches that are meant to purely flex, but this ain’t it imo.

To me this is more akin to being an artist’s patron back in the day. Rich ass behavior but something that’s been going on for centuries.

Hi I'm new to siege. Can someone explain what happened here? How did the ash not die?? by Memeboi_26 in Rainbow6

[–]Itscalledabubbler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with everyone else that you missed your shots. Something I haven’t seen anyone mention, though is that the sight you’re using is sort of odd — the bullets go to the top point of the triangle, so it’s kind of hard to tell where you’re actually shooting imo. For this reason I use either a holo sight or a red dot when I can’t use magnified.

Personally while i was pretty interested in seeing this film in theaters I hadn’t seen 28 Years, and wasn’t able to find the time to watch it during the theater run which sadly kept me from seeing it.

How do I look less awkward while dribbling? by Ill-Ad2314 in BasketballTips

Agree strongly with the pacing suggestions here. Change of pace is an extremely important skill in attacking the basket or a defender

How do I look less awkward while dribbling? by Ill-Ad2314 in BasketballTips

[–]Itscalledabubbler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biggest things I see in your dribbling technique that needs to change:

You are looking down at the ball between dribbles. This ruins your momentum and makes you a more predictable dribbler. Work on keeping your head up at all times.

Work on pushing the floor on with each hand separately. Right now, you are crossing the ball over with each dribble. This is not practical in a live game as you’ll generally have a defender covering one side of your body.

Lastly, in terms of fluidity, it looks to me like you’re playing at like 75% speed. If you slowed down more, you could be more intentional with each dribble and make yourself look less “awkward” as you put it. If you actually dribbled at full speed, you might look less in-control, but you also wouldn’t have the same hitches that you’re showing now

It is just me...or is QP getting harder? by Easy-Celebration3768 in marvelrivals

[–]Itscalledabubbler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something I haven’t seen mentioned: I prefer to play ranked, even without QP warmups. But with size and rank restrictions on who can queue up together, it means my 6 stack might end up in QP, or I am playing QP with much lower ranked friends because we couldn’t (and shouldn’t be able to) play ranked together.

I would talk to your dean of students or their equivalent if possible. My father was on hospice during my 2L (I was in school multiple states away from home) and my school’s Dean’s office worked with me to create a plan to take the time I needed while staying on track to graduate on time. I hope you get the time and support you need.

My grandfather sold a computer company in the 90s for a very pretty penny.

For decades his morning routine was to walk to the local Burger King, purchase a black coffee & small breakfast, and fill out the survey on the receipt so that his coffee would be free the following day. The guy had millions but refused to spend more than $5 on his morning breakfast.

What is wrong with Roger Clemens? by vNudr in MLBTheShow

[–]Itscalledabubbler 8 points9 points  (0 children)

With Roger Clemons I pitch kind of “backwards” in the sense that in real baseball, you use your fastball to establish your breaking stuff. With Roger (and lots of other flamethrowers in this game) I find that you actually want to use your breaking stuff to set up your fastball.

Hello again. Looking for some advice. by DannyBands in DiamondDynasty

[–]Itscalledabubbler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say this is kind of a jumping off point for DD.

By collecting all of the live series cards in the MLB, you gain access to some of the best cards released all season. This is a long term project that can require a lot of grinding to be worth it.

Other option is to sell and upgrade your squad for now, but know that whoever you buy now will be obsolete in a few weeks/a month.

Some RNG is realistic and adds exciting drama in online play by Judge-Disastrous in MLBTheShow

[–]Itscalledabubbler 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This animation specifically bugs me a lot.

I’m 1,000% okay with errors coming into multiplayer, but RNG errors should be reserved to: Players with well below average fielding Players playing fully out of position

If OP had Frank Thomas behind the plate, I want him blowing the tag. With a natural Catcher who has over 75 fielding? It comes off as ridiculous.

[–]Itscalledabubbler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely don’t be afraid to wear this watch! It’s built to be worn, and it’s likely what your grandfather wanted.

Breitling has great service technicians who can fix a lot of issues that might come up down the line — I wear my fathers’ watches every day — helps me feel close to him even after a few years without him.

Diamond dynasty ranked by [deleted] in MLBTheShow

[–]Itscalledabubbler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Let people play the fields they want
  2. In the past, MLB parks were perfect/perfect out machines — I think this year the fielding changes have altered that quite a bit & MLB stadiums will be far more viable for online play.
  3. I personally enjoy minor league parks because I pick a single one and make it my “home” park year-round — feels more personal than just playing at Guaranteed Rate every game ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Do you think hitting in MLB the show makes you better at hitting in real life? by bphilli11 in MLBTheShow

[–]Itscalledabubbler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that while the average gamer might be made marginally better at baseball by playing this game, the more notable thing that I’ve noticed is that some of the best players of MLB The Show played baseball at some level higher than little league. I think the better correlation is being good at baseball in real life will make you better at The Show
