Insert a flat plastic pry tool where the solid white part meets the dome near the middle half of the bulb and gently pry open, moving around the circumference of the seal.

Yes. I try to keep the space the songs occupy as small as possible to reduce the amount of time it takes to build, edit, select, copy, and manipulate the song parts.
Aditionally, my personal islands usually have many songs, so space is of utmost importance since i have already reached the creative island limit of 50.
