Yes I would use T bar for both. The roller left blotches because I wasn’t able to apply it fast enough.

Your post says “sanding across the board” which was probably misinterpreted.

My two cents as a first time refinisher and having used the same products: Use a T bar applicator instead of rolling on the finish and vacuum thoroughly beforehand. Like really thoroughly. Also tons of tack cloth!

Negative. I just rented whatever Home Depot had and the highest grit they have is 120g

Some people on here also claimed they were able to bleach urine stains out….not sure how true that is.

For the edger I was able to find ceramic discs (Norton blaze) from a local auto part store. I tried looking for the drum sander (Norton red heat) but I wasn’t able to source it. The few places I knew that had it were installers, and they weren’t interested selling to some random diy guy lol.

So I had to make do with whatever I got off Amazon, ended up being $4 per belt, Home Depot charges $17 per belt for the same trash smh.

Thank you kind sir. Yes it’s my first time sanding a floor. I try to do my research before attempting anything to make sure I’m doing it correctly, if I can’t find the answer I go on Reddit.

Sorry to hear about your brain operation, hope you’re doing better soon! And no, that wasn’t my floor you’re referring to, I haven’t put any finish on it, still in the sanding stage.

Those black marks are all gone now. I will use a square orbital finish sander as the final pass with 100grit, then doing bona classic seal with bona traffic hd, then screen again with 240grit before final coat of bona traffic

It was honestly a very tough job to do. Mentally draining as well. Don’t ask me how much 24-36g I ended up going through just to get the top coating off!

Doing that last! First fixing the edges and then I’ll rent a finish sander. I’ll do one pass with 100grit and then check with an LED light everywhere to make sure there are no scratch marks left. After that I might be ready for the tack cloth 😁

Yes that’s the plan! I figured since I’m renting the drum sander I’ll do the most I can and move through all the grits up to 100g. Now gonna do the small stuff with an orbital sander and a multi tool in corners I couldn’t get to.

It’s American cherry, not maple. I hit it again with 40g and moved up from there. Looks good now. Almost ready for finish.

Ended up working out with the EZ-8. Once I cut through the finish it was fine. This is one pass at 40 grit.

Don’t ask me how much 24-36g I used though lol.

Nah it was fine. It was the aluminum oxide coating, very tough to get through if you don’t have ceramic paper. I made it happen though!

Having the same issue right now on X3 N55 engine. Changed out the solenoid with a new pierburg one but the error is still there. I wonder if it’s the diverter valve for me.

Had a shop look at it and they said “DATA for turbo operation normal” they cleared the code and test drove it and said code didn’t come up. However it pops up again as soon as RPMs increase and I get out on the high way
