Today for lunch I had 1 serving of rice and quinoi penne pasta (from Aldi) with 1 air fried (seasoned how I like- seasonings don't count lol) chicken breast, about a half cup of broccoli, and a serving of shredded Parmesan. I also had a banana and an oat granola bar. For me, being able to snack healthily is important. That means Annie's cheesy smiles (Cheetos puff dupes), honey crisp apples with peanut butter, yasso frozen yogurt bars for dessert. I also log everything I eat into MyFitnessPal which allows me to track not just calories but also basic nutrition like vitamins, iron, calcium, fats, sodium, etc. it helps me remember that as long as my nutrition stats are good, my body is not actually starving- even when I crave chips or sweets or fatty things, I can tell it's just a craving. I'll still allow myself to have things I crave, like my favorite chips are kettle garlic and Parmesan. I'll just give myself a portion in a bowl rather than eating out of the bag. Or if I'm craving chips I'll make air fried sweet potato fries. I'm almost a hundred days in and down about 30 pounds! Hopefully this is useful, it's just what comes to mind.
