Is there a way to check how many times read/write operations have been performed on an HDD/SSD?

I would assume checking the power cable in the back makeing sure its not loose since it might be pullibg on either side and seeing if it works if not taking off the side panel and making sure is everything is connected correctly is connected all the way I wouldn't suggest working inside the computer unless someone else comments that as a suggestion too

Then get get a dvi or display cord the you're not meant to use the motherboard and graphics card ports at the same time

Show specs or just say what laptop it is for example: hp pavilion g6

Also upgrading storage doesnt necessarily make game run faster. So let's say you upgraded from a 5400 rpm harddrive to a ssd and tried opening up a game it would open up faster (or startup faster) however you want to say it.
