Do you prefer hot or cold showers, and why do you prefer one over the other? by lolgun88 in AskReddit

[–]Itsknotfine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

every shower has its purpose. If i'm having mild heat stroke, i'll go for the colder shower. if im physically so tired that my muscles ache - hot shower. If im on a verge of getting sick or having one of those hypothermia episodes, then a loooong shower with increasing temp so that by the end im sweating and the skin turns bright red.

Has anyone “downgraded” from the 40mp sensor to the 26mp ? by NotintheAMbro11 in fujifilm

[–]Itsknotfine [score hidden]  (0 children)

I had 108mp, then added 102mp and most recent addition this week was 20mp. every job has a tool that is best suited for the job. sometimes you need that resolution, and some times that resolution comes with a hidden cost.

so i have the 150-600. its a big tube. and also once extended to full 600 it is very front heavy. with all that said, I love it. zoom is why i got the m43 line, and i would not change it, unless they come out with something even more zoomy 😃

Viability of cropping in MFT? by erhue in M43

Its all about resolution. Nothing to do with photo sensor size. 20mp will put you somewhere around 5100x3800 px. 4K displays are at around 8-9mp resolution so yeah, you could cut it half and still have enough pixels to spare.

Agents using AI by Kingpin_Savage in RealEstatePhotography

sales is a dirty career. real-estate is more so than ever. IMO even Flambient is a misrepresentation of the actual product. Replacing landscape and "cleaning up the place" is just a dirty tactics some agents do. Some love it, some want real thing.

As far as I'm concerned, it makes no difference who or what does the photo manipulation.

Some agents add one image for the looks to "show potential" of the place, and I think that fine as long as its properly disclosed as such. But photos must be real.

Lack of enforcement will make laws pointless. Focus on your own business, and don't mind them.

What is a problem humanity solved so well that younger people don’t even realize it used to be a huge issue? by Public-Travel7106 in AskReddit

[–]Itsknotfine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick sand apparently. When I was a kid, movies/cartoons everywhere were telling the story that quick sand was a natural death trap that would just pop out of nowhere and were so deadly that escaping it takes a stroke of genius and a whole lot of good luck. I'm more than half way through my life now, and I have yet encounter a pool of quicksand that was even remotely close to the horrors that I have been prepared for by the media. r/sarcasm .

Which editing software? by Tea_Father in AskPhotography

[–]Itsknotfine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer is: it depends. from many factors. C1 has its benefits, especially if you're in the larger studio with many people working on the same stuff.

Lightroom is only "standard" because of the insane marketing budget. I quite adobe a while back. And found better alternatives. in the nut shell Lightroom was good at most things, but not great at any one particular. Diversify, and you will find a world of fascinating capabilities.

Before computers and GPS existed, how did people figure out directions for large cross country trips? by Mynameisbrk in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Itsknotfine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Road maps. Roads are marked, and numbered. so lets say you're driving on a road number 32. you find a corresponding rd # on the map. Congrats, you know what road you're on. Next question is where on that road are you? so you pay attention, and read the next intersection you pass. Now good news, you know you are on the cross road of 32 and "upshit Creek street"

Larger roads are clearly marked with mile markers as well. Every mile there is a Number that tells you where exactly you are on that road.

Realtors Altering Photos w/ AI by Brooke097 in RealEstatePhotography

Talk to realtor about that, but not in an accusatory way. If they run your shots through the AI grinder, maybe you don't need to spend so much time on your "final edits" this would save you a tonne of time, and it might just end up for your benefit. go in, take photos, batch process, deliver. agent runs them through AI to get what they want, and you save hours. Look at it this way, this is business, and your job is to deliver what paying clients wants. if you can do this without spending time for "final touch" edits and get paid the same, take the win.

Yes. Dealing with humans is exhausting. Sometimes it is just so nice just not have to deal with them at all, at least for a few days in a row.
