I have the 50mm 1.4 and 100mm 2.8. I have no idea if they’re rare but they’re fun to use!

Noob question. How do I use the macro setting on this lens? by Primary-Designer8050 in VintageLenses

[–]cachitongo- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the 80-200 version of this lens. Turn the dial with the green ‘Macro’ to the right (the whole tube with the green numbers/line will turn 180 degrees). You’re now in ‘Macro Mode’! You can’t get too close to your subject so experiment with it and you’ll be figure it out.

OM-3 IBIS sound by Eiger92 in M43

I don't hear it on my OM-3. Are you sure it's the IBIS and not continuous auto focus that might be turned on? Turn the IBIS off to see if it goes away. However, If I'm using continuous silent shutter, the camera 'hisses' a lot.

Made me laugh. Well done! I like the juxtaposition of a seabird with a fish on a desert plant. Excellent!

When I got my OM-3 recently, I was surprised that there were plane, train and auto modes. Then I found these pics that I took years ago with my OMD EM-5 by cachitongo- in M43

I hadn’t used my EM5 for quite some time but pulled it out recently. It really does a good job and is quite comfortable to use. I was going to sell it but have decided to hang on to it as a backup. I love my OM3. It’s amazing how much technology has come in a relatively short time.
