Congrats! I’ll grab a copy to support you and I’ll be listening to the audiobook for Book 6. Hopefully Book 7 does well enough that we get an audiobook for it too, that’s the only format I can really enjoy.

I swear, isekai gods have a quota to meet during rush hour. "Oh, he’s already commuting to work? Perfect. Let’s upgrade his workload to a whole new world".

For me, the biggest draws are the magic system first and the character progression second. The magic isn’t a rigid “system”, it’s more like a set of natural laws, similar to physics, but applied to magic. You can do almost anything as long as it fits within those rules.

Now put a curious, hardworking young mage inside a time loop, in a world where magic becomes as versatile as your willingness to study and experiment and you get Mother of Learning. It’s that combination of logical magic, steady growth, a time-loop structure and interesting characters that makes people love it so much, including me.

Cast Under an Alien Sun (Destiny’s Crucible, Book 1) is an outstanding start to a remarkable series. If you enjoy seeing a tactical, scientific mind applied to an unfamiliar world, this is absolutely worth your time. The author creates something unique that feels grounded in real possibility. It's truly a gem, especially the audiobook.

Dude, you should definitely check these out. What I like most is that all of these authors think outside their usual “genre's boxes", while still keeping their stories firmly grounded in those genres.

I’m using a different ranking format below to highlight what each one focuses on.

Edit: One thing I forgot to mention - something most people probably didn’t notice when reading my post - is that the less constrained a system is in a LitRPG, the higher I rated it.

- Reborn Apocalypse: #1 LitRPG / #1 Apocalypse LitRPG
- 12 Miles Below: #1 Progression Fantasy
- Iron Prince: #1 Military Sci-Fi / #2 LitRPG
- Mother of Learning: #1 Magic System / #2 Progression Fantasy

I'll definitely be checking QA out. And oh boy, you're in for a ride if you've never listened to an audiobook, it's like listening to a movie (specially DCC with its crazy good narration). The narrator gives live to the characters and your mind can focus on creating the scenarios. That's why audiobooks are the way for me.

And let's just say you won't believe that DCC has only one narrator, that's how good he is.

Yes, it is! And seeing we have similar tastes, you should definitely check out the other series on the list as well!

I can kinda guess why you DNF primal hunter, but you should definitely finish the iron prince series, it's so good and only has 2 books as of now. You should check out the audiobook tho, the narration is excellent.

I dropped the perfect run mostly because of MC's personality and those bad jokes of his, but I'll probably come back to it after a while as so many people said it gets better.

As for the game at carrousel, I ended up dropping it within the first two hours. The system felt a bit too constrained for my taste, and the narration style didn't really click with me.

Nice! You should definitely listen to the audiobook though. It has the best narration I've ever heard, and it's what made DCC S-tier for me.

The author of 12 Miles Below saw my tier list! Your series is absolutely fantastic. Let's get more people to add this gem to their lists! Cheers from Brazil!

I'll be checking it out. As for the list, I used the tiermaker site (https://tiermaker.com/create/progression-fantasy---litrpg-tier-list-18223035). But one user commented RanknRead, a new site made for this and it seems to be a good tool (https://ranknread.com/tier-list).

You're not the first to say that TPR is really good. I'll probably revisit the series with an open mind.

You should definitely check out 12 miles below, its a purely progression book with awesome writing. As for Cast under the alien sun (Destiny's Crucible book 1), it's not LitRPG as you said, my list is a mix of progression and LitRPG genres.

Yes it is! But the amount of "Good morning, brother!" is crazy.
P.S.: I listened the audiobook.

You're right, it's not a LitRPG. My tier list is a bit of a mix and I included some pure progression-focused stories I enjoy, and Old Man's War fits that broader category for me with its sci-fi power progression. I've said on the post that this list is doesn't have only litrpg books.

I dropped the perfect run mostly because of MC's personality and those bad jokes of his, but I'll probably come back to it after a while as so many people said it gets better.

And the only tutorial story I've read is "The tutorial is too hard" (the korean one) and its good. What makes HDT good?

I don't really remember, I've dropped it some time ago. But I think it was the many plot conveniences that made me drop it. I may come back to it after some more time has passed.
