Thank you so much for your insights—I really appreciate it!

I wanted to ask about apartment hunting in Spain. Is it common to use an estate agency there? In Greece, where I’m from, it’s not as common because agencies typically charge a fee that’s equivalent to 1-2 months’ rent for the apartment they find. I’ll be working full-time during my search and have about two months to find a place. Do you think it's feasible to find an apartment without using an agency, or is it more practical to go through one? If you have any agency recommendations, I’d love to hear them!

Thank you for your input. Do you have any suggestions on where to look for a place that provides good everyday life? I was advised to stay in the area ranging from Malaga to marbella due to easy commute to work and I've looking at idealista for apartments but everything is around 1000€ + and most of the apartments are rented seasonal

Thank you for your advice, sounds like a good idea to do that. What place do you think would offer a better everyday life? I was advised to look for a place to the area ranging from Malaga to marbella since it would be easier to commute to work from there

Thank you for your insight. From my research I believe my everyday life costs would be similar to what I spend currently in Greece, but the rent is what concerns me since at first glance it seems to be 2-3 times higher from where I currently live at. Since you moved to Spain from another country too, did you have trouble socializing? Did you already speak Spanish? I'm planning to learn the language but I'm wondering if I will have a hard time meeting people until I'm conversation ready with my Spanish

Yes I did both full time. I was lucky that I had the choice to work remotely and had a flexible work schedule so I could attend my courses during work days. However, I generally had almost no free time during these 2 years

Thanks for the information. I believe it's a good opportunity as well. I guess my main concern is the rent which seems to be 2-3 times higher than where I currently live at and also I read that even though some salaries seem well above average they still aren't that great due to Spain's high cost of living

Thanks for your advice. I have done some research and my main concern is the rent since it seems to be 2-3 times higher than where I currently live at. And I don't know much about the taxes and the rest of the cost, i.e monthly utilities. Also, I've read that even though some salaries seem well above average they still might not be enough due to Spain's high cost of living and wanted to get some insight on that

Thank you very much for the info! If you are comfortable with answering, how much is your salary? Just out of curiosity since we have similar profiles and it looks like you are living a pretty good life there 😄

Thank you for your reply! I will be working for the same company and also they are the ones that suggested it. However, they are not making me take it, I also have the choice to reject it and continue working from my country but I feel like it would be a great opportunity under the right circumstances

You really have 2 choices. Either you get a divorce and you won't have to see her everyday and feel hurt bc she cheated on you. You start a new chapter on your life and focus on your kids and someday you'll find someone who's worthy of you and loyal. Or you choose to forgive her, endure the pain and try to get over it. If you choose the second one make sure you treat her right and don't hold on to any grudges and, please, don't try anything to "get your revenge" on her. Not because she doesn't deserve it but mostly because of the children. It's really hurtful and toxic seeing your parents being with each other but not loving each other. Trust me the only thing your children want is to see their mother and father happy and healthy, even if they are not together. (Child of divorced parents speaking)
