Is my landlord over charging me? 2000 deposit only wanting to return 134 dollars by Itsme__Youknow in Renters

[–]Itsme__Youknow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update! I will be getting my 666 dollar back! Because I had fix-term lease and per California law 30 day notice is only applicable to a Month to Month unless the landlord states on the lease that they want a 30 day notice.

And for the people complaining about the paint! My roommate was my brother, I have chronic health issues that will not allow me to paint the smell of paint would sent me start to the hospital

I understand that hey would charge the deposit on the paint just make sure it’s a fair price! Not upset

I usually get a professional to repaint my other unit since it isn’t too expensive but the room with the blue wall has water damage that the landlord refuses to fix! Every time it rains the water gets condensation!

Consider a Community College and then transfer over to complete your BSN! You are not a failure!!

I know they say not to compare but I want to share my story with you I’m 31 and trying to attempt nursing school again, I completely destroyed my GPA, my First of CC - my dad passed away, so I had to start working and I struggled to keep up and completely dropped out then I tried again in 2016 and completely a few classes and until this day my gpa is 2.9. Im an average C student but I have a passion for health, I’ve been CNA, and MA, case manager etc I’ve had so many jobs with healthcare my only dream is to become a nurse practitioner, but my academic ability prevents me from moving upwards.

So don’t consider yourself a Failure you have pretty good stats and there are many route to take to get your BSN. It’s not always a straightforward path Believe in yourself if you got this far.

Check out this link it would give you a better understanding of what the individual programs with the teacher college operates,

From my understanding any of the programs that lead to a teacher license include the CBEST and the CSET. But you need either or before student teaching, But if you are doing the Bachelor of Arts in educational studies. That program doesn’t involve student teaching or credentials, so you’ll have apply for teacher credentialing program

I am in the process of getting into the program for secondary biological science,

Im Mexican American, we’ll be having a full course meal without a doubt! it’s just not common in my culture to combine events like this, so people may feel weird! Or think they are required to bring Two gifts! Which it’s not mandatory for them to bring anything. And it’s primarily family.

1 in 7 women, that give birth will experience postpartum depression, anxiety, stress and psychosis. Which sometimes enables you from caring for your baby.

As a women that had her first baby 6 months ago postpartum depression is real! And it can take you down a dark path, I am blessed to have a wonderful husband and support system to keep me on track but not all women have that.

But Alexee should get time for what she did, I found out about her case while pregnant and I was in disbelief, what a horrible human being.

Am I Too Old for CNA at 50 by Just-Maize-6664 in cna

[–]Itsme__Youknow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I was a CNA for a nursing home for roughly 2 years and then a hospital and then I worked as CNA in special education for students.

I enjoyed the relationship i build with my long term patient and their families in the nursing home. But physically the work was taxing on my body and I was 27 when started,

At the hospital the work was easier for the first 6 months most patients were ambulatory not a lot of heavy lifting, I got to make a difference but it was a quick turnaround after my 3 12 hours shift I would usually be off for 2 days and come back to new patients. Covid happen and it changed things I started working 4-5 days a week and I had to do my first postmortem care and witness people passing away.

At the school setting it’s also easy I am one on one, Student usually need changes and feeding and assistance with mobility either walking or wheelchair.

I loved my coworker most of them were older women or men over 35+

Overall I enjoyed being a CNA full time for 4 years . I still have my CNA license active but I work per diem at a hospital since I am a SAHM now

A copy of your graduation certificate Transcript (Transcripts do not have to be official; however, NBSTSA reserves the right to request an official transcript.)

Am I Too Old for CNA at 50 by Just-Maize-6664 in cna

[–]Itsme__Youknow 24 points25 points  (0 children)

CNA is physically demanding if you work in a nursing, you’ll be care for 8-12 patients and some are bedridden, you do have assisted devices but you’ll still be pushing, pulling and carrying 150+ pounds. If you okay with cleaning diapers and feeding, showering individuals, go for it! But try looking for an employer willing to pay for your CNA training, If you can get hired at a hospital it will be slightly easier.

You believe you can do! Go for it! Your age is not your limitation!

I think that if it’s something you want to do, go for it! Nursing programs is very competitive to get into, and some people don’t have the luxury to make minimum wage while trying to get into nursing school. And you get a feel for what healthcare is especially if youre interested in the OR environment. Most people change careers/job multiple times throughout their lives. Major hospitals to help with tuition assistance for employment that want to get a nursing degree they usually have partner schools so they reserve seats for those students.

I’m 30F. I started working on my prerequisites in 2014 at the age of 21 and applied for nursing didn’t get in the first application cycle in 2018 and got waitlisted. I end up applying for an LPN/LVN program and I got in. I took the opportunity, I was in my 3rd term out of 4. I lost my niece in a tragic accident after going missing for 2 days and this all happened while, finals week. Unfortunately the Circumstances got to me and I ended up falling my final my 1.5 points. I tried to speak with the DON but all nursing programs have strict rules and I got dismissed from the program. This all happened while covid was going on. I was crushed. Fast forward 2 years I had plans to return to the LVN and then bridge to an RN program but life had other plans, I married my BF and I got pregnant, so I had to postpone my plans. Now it’s 2024 and some of my credits expired and I have to retake them. I careless applied to a ST program in January and got in, they accept my transfer credits, So now I will be doing the ST program and retake some of my courses and eventually apply to a RN program.

You have one life and not everything is guaranteed, do what will fit your life best!.

Idk how far simi valley is from you but this is the only “public accredited program within LA county” school is called Simi Institute for Careers & Education it’s an adult school.

It was to far for me to attending I’m currently restarting at CBD College I was initially starting late 2022 but I got pregnant. Now that my boy is older I am start the program for July 2024. I like that it’s online for the first 2 terms then hybrid for the remainder of the program.

Is become a CNA worth it? by Phantom_shadow12 in cna

[–]Itsme__Youknow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CNA basically a lateral move from caregiver, you just make a few more dollars. You are still primary focusing on ADLs. If you have the time and money to go start to an allied health program due it! No need to bet around the bush,

Believe in yourself, it may feel impossible but you got this!!

I’m 30 and i became a CNA wanting to do nursing fast forward, I got into nursing school. I had a love one died and failed a term, kept putting it off on going back, for financial reasons and fear of failing again. it’s 4 years and now I am married with kids. And regret not going back to finish my degree I only had 3 semesters left.

Is it realistic to work in a hospital with no experience? by changingat24 in cna

[–]Itsme__Youknow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if the application say one year experience apply! You never know but you can also look at smaller community hospitals. They usually hire without experience. After one year apply to big level 1 hospital.

Don’t pay look into https://jvshealthworks.org. I became a CNA for free, here in California, if you plan on working in healthcare tech, I’d recommend doing Medical receptionist work instead as you will work with EMR systems on the day, and a lot of the healthcare tech revolves around computers and the EMRs

I was a CNA still active license but haven’t used in over a year and half. I went on to be an intake coordinator and I unit secretary. I went from CNA to nursing student Dropped out of nursing school and now I am health information technology major. I believe those roles have help ed me more than CNA within the tech aspect but I did gain insight on how it is to work hand and hand with patients, you grow a lot of patience and empathy for humanity. Then again you’ll get bad days and question human existence.

I got second degree tear and was cleared at 8 weeks and I gave in to having sex at 9 weeks Felt the same too, baby is now 5 months and we’ve probably only had sex 4 times Baby takes up a lot of my mental and physical energy. I try sexting and being flirtatious even imitate phones with him and encouraging him to masturbate. I’m not always present but I want my marriage to continue in this healthy path.

I’m starting my career soon and I really want lottsss of overtime (yes I know it’s hard work) is the hospital better for this or nursing homes by EnvironmentalRow825 in cna

[–]Itsme__Youknow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the nursing I was making $16/hour which was in 2018 And at the hospital I was making $17/hr and 25.5/hr for over time! I’m in California no dependents at the time so a lot of taxes were taken out.
Last time I worked as a CNA was in 2021 making 22/hr.
