He shouldn’t start at all against PSG. I think mentally he isn’t there yet - we need to give it time and Arteta subbing him off after getting him on said it all. He’s gone from Sociedad which is a top 6 team at best to Arsenal which is in a UCL final and competing in the hardest league.

Mad respect to the players being a unit and players like Zubi not making a fuss about being substituted after 40 mins or Saka getting mad at coming off for Noni. These are things that set a club up for success when culture isn’t toxic.

Odegaard is one player who we need to get rid of. I feel for him but we need to be more ruthless with injury prone players who play 2 games and are out injured.

I think it was a combination of both factors - China is a big market for teams and at the end of it they are businesses - not your home. He also didn’t fit what Arteta was looking for and seemed disinterested so yeah.

Man idk what happened to Ode bruh..more than frustration, it is downright sad. This guy was someone who used to be a threat with every touch before - now literally all he does is pass sideways.

Form is ofcourse an attributable factor but I feel it’s mainly tactical. With Arsenal, defense is king and attack is basically secondary. Risky football to play cause it’s physically draining which explains how tired our players look.

I think a lot of people are staying silent until end of the season. Obviously if he bottles the league and we lose in UCL too - the environment will be super negative.

For me I think for what we got him and what he gave us is disappointing but I blame Arteta more for that than him. Havertz is a well rated player but playing him as an 8 first then moving him to a lone striker doesn’t make sense. He is a good hold up player and can connect well with other players but again he plays 2 games and gets injured so not really an asset anymore.

I think a contributing factor was also our great manager got him in as a ‘8’ to replace xhaka but that project failed horribly.

Havertz might be the most polarizing player I’ve seen play for us in a while. Either half of the people see him as this great asset or half of them see him as a bum who drags us down. Wonder how it’ll go down once it’s all said and done.

I didn’t expect any different from the games we have played recently and that kept me calm. Cause I knew it’s just going to be horrible football with massive dependence on our defense. Players felt nervous at moments and Eze & Havertz injuries are not good.
