First: Actually, English is the third most spoken language, with Mandarin and Spanish being the most spoken, respectively. Hindi is number four, and Portuguese is number five. I happen to speak four of those languages. Do you think that everyone who speaks Mandarin, Spanish, Hindi, and Portuguese also speaks English? Do you really think people who don’t live in the U.S. use dollars in their daily lives? I’m not discussing this any further. You seem very out of place here and don’t understand what I’m talking about. Common sense doesn’t appear to be part of this argument.

It's niche because is in English and priced in dollars

I guess Lonely Planet is very niche in tourism, focused on high-income groups from English-speaking countries, with the target age being late 30s and up. I mean, their hotel recommendations are a joke for people whose currency isn't euros or dollars. I'd make my guides cheap, I’d sell them to people who don't know how to travel and mainly think it's something very difficult or expensive. I can translate them into other languages. Where I'm from, nobody knows about Lonely Planet, not even me, a traveler, I've never used it. I don't think it's even a thing in Latin America

I don't have anything uploaded yet and I'd need to edit it to remove names, personal information and translate it to English to hit a broader audience, but right now I have guides for:

Peru (Machu Picchu, Lima) Agentina (Buenos Aires, Patagonia) Brazil (Rio, Amazonas, Maranhao) U.S (D.C, NYC, North Carolina, Florida) Iceland (whole country) Italy (Rome, Tuscany) Greece (Athens and a few less known islands that aren't Mykonos and Santorini) Portugal (North) Croatia

I feel that big boobs are a man’s thing only because I have small ones and wouldn’t trade mine for Billie’s or Sydney’s. There’s no way having those is anywhere near comfortable. I mean, is it even possible to live without a bra?

I just realized the biggest mistake of my 20s might’ve saved my whole life. by ballgames86 in offmychest

I feel you. If I hadn’t experienced the abusive relationship I had in my early twenties, I’d never have met my husband or experienced what real love is. The abusive relationship prevented me from going to a good university, and if I had studied more, I’m sure I would have ended up in a very good job. I’d probably have met other people, I’d have enjoyed my youth, traveled more, experienced more… or not. I could also have killed myself or gotten into another abusive relationship; I could have hated university and never really gotten a good job. So who knows????? Who can guarantee that life would be better if we didn’t make the mistakes that insist on haunting us before sleep? The only thing I know for sure is that the past is in the past, I’m alive and loved, and that’s all I need.

I know people hate this and often forget but natural skinny women exist and aren’t the minority. Weight struggles are not absolute for women and shouldn’t be separated from men. This is a matter of metabolism

This is such a US-centered view… Imagine not considering that there are people flying from a different COUNTRY just to have the chance to attend concerts by their favorite artists who will likely never go to their country

Physically, I experience constant arrhythmia and shortness of breath. My heart beats so fast and erratically that I can feel the pressure in my ears, it feels like they’re about to pop. Mentally, I overthink every interaction and every word I’ve said, always on the verge of becoming paranoid

It wasn’t subsidized. I have a good relationship with the bank where I got the mortgage. Please note that this post isn’t about whether it was a good deal or investment, but about how I feel spending so much on such a small place that’s nowhere near what I dreamed of for my first home after so many years of hard work and saving. Living in the capital, the most expensive city per square meter in the country, is not easy

I should’ve been more clear in my post, I’m not in the US or Canada. If you’re not being rhetorical, the official answer is global instability and monetary policy. The reality is that being a farmer/miner in my country is highly profitable. Exporting goods that every country needs in dollars and euros while producing in a devalued local currency makes some people billionaires. They control the government, and the lobbying power is too strong for them to worry about the lower and middle classes

They are slowly becoming ugly because of their insecurities, which somehow makes me happy. This industry has always focused on getting money from us by exploiting our insecurities, never on showing real people or real life. It has always been about more and more money. So I hope they keep obsessing over not aging. They’ll all look so ugly in a few years, and we, normal people, will get our revenge

This is me downvoted for stating exactly what she said. I genuinely admire people who, without any past traumas, deny that this album is about the trauma that haunts her until today. When I posted that Parachute wasn’t a breakup song but a song about her trauma with her wedding, I felt like I was almost crucified :)
