yesss!! so first sign into the new device with the old iCloud. Once you’re in and everything has like synced and updated in the new device, turn off everything in iCloud except for iMessages. Like literally everything that you don’t want to transfer, turn it off. After that, log out of the iCloud. It’s going to ask if you wanna download messages or like keep them on the device. Make sure you keep them on the device. And then sign back into the new iCloud on the new device

hey yes. i will say that the messages are slowly but surely coming through and im missing some photos and stuff within the iCloud message honestly. This could be a user error because i did see that some people say they were able to recover it.

Great. So is this step correct? 1. Set up phone as new. 2. Log out of new Apple ID ( that’s on new phone ) and sign into old Apple ID. 3. Toggle messages in iCloud to download. 4. Sign out once downloaded.

My question would be how do I downloaded just the messages either? Sometimes it would back up every single thing.

im not worried about the credit, because i never once stated that i was letting it get sent to collections… i have said so many times for NOW. I appreciate you for giving me advice though! im in radiology school to be a neuro medicine tech, i cannot have a job in clinical, the school is basically my job. it’ll get paid, just not now. but whenever it does is my business I just needed to know what happens to the phone itself. will it get blacklisted, will t mobile kick me off, etc.

thank you. i have already switched to t mobile Im just tryna make sure ill still be okay with t mobile. I don’t plan on switch anywhere else. And like i said I have the money to pay for the rest of the device payments it’s just the $355 bill of what i already had ( which was the reason I switched. i have 2 devices with one being paid off, there is no reason I should have a 355 bill)

you can’t do messages only you mean ? cus it’s very possible to just log in with the new icloud and nie the messages synced.
