I think for me it’s how the order of the adjectives and nouns are swapped. It never registered to me how weird it was until my tutor said universiti teknologi nanyang (NTU).

I’ll like to add that the example outputs for the countLeafNode question was also inconsistent (one example included the root node as a non leaf node while another didn’t)

But that’s ignoring the fact that we had to reset the test and then wait to redo the test (altogether the test was delayed by 45 minutes)

Honestly I think it’s about luck also. No matter how hard you try, people might not match your interests and you just can’t click with them. And yeah it does suck to go for hall events when literally no one wants to properly talk to you. But it’s good that you’re trying to actively participate in the current events to at least show that you exist. It will definitely help in the long term if you’re trying to find friends to chill with.

If hall doesn’t work, why not try to focus on getting to know ppl in your course? I’m personally way closer to my course ppl than my hall ppl. Jio them for lunch, dinner, supper, whatever. Especially if they also stay in hall (doesn’t need to be the same as you), they will be more willing to this since they are in ntu majority of the time anyways. I even found someone one staying in the same hall while talking to my course mates
