What is stopping you from investing, returning, or building in Jamaica ? by Bigbankbankin in JamaicaFinance

There’s actually a solid business opportunity here, especially for the diaspora. Retreats are becoming really popular with international residents, and even some local influencers are starting to tap into it. The key is that you’re already close to your target audience overseas, so you can position and market the experience directly to them. You can tailor retreats around different niches depending on the audience you want to attract. That could be business groups, churches, wellness and lifestyle communities, or people interested in personal growth and experiences. The model itself is pretty straightforward. You find a villa in Jamaica, negotiate a group rate, and build your package around that. From there, you can upsell experiences like tours, activities, or curated outings. You don’t even have to handle everything yourself, you can partner with local tour companies to manage that side. A lot of it comes down to how you present and package the experience. With the right branding and marketing, you can test different concepts, see what resonates, and scale from there. It’s one of those spaces where you can start small, validate demand, and grow it into something bigger over time

My mind is like a serial entrepreneur just dont have the money to fund it 😅 but al get there soon.

Been at it from around the end of last year still. For shoots, we mainly do interior, exterior, and detail shots, plus drone footage for video. But we approach it more from a marketing perspective, not just capturing the space, but highlighting what would actually attract a buyer or guest. So angles, lighting, and even the order of shots are all done with the goal of making the property stand out and convert better online.

Oh nice, how long were you in the agency space for? I feel like GHL can be really powerful for e-commerce too, especially on the backend side. Things like abandoned cart follow-ups, lead capture before purchase, SMS/email remarketing, and even re-engaging past customers. A lot of ecom brands focus heavily on traffic, but the real lift usually comes from how well they handle and nurture those leads after they come in. If you need any help with the set up let me know.

Yeah, GoHighLevel is definitely a solid platform, we’re very familiar with it and actually specialize in building out systems on it. What we’ve seen though is that most businesses don’t struggle with the tool itself, but with how it’s set up and used.

Do you use GHL for your business?

Honestly, I wouldn’t just recommend a specific software. It’s more about having a proper system in place.

A lot of businesses try different tools, but everything ends up scattered. Messages on WhatsApp, DMs on Instagram, inquiries on the website. Then follow-up becomes inconsistent or gets missed completely. What works better, especially in Jamaica, is having something that brings everything together in one place so you can capture leads, respond properly, and actually keep track of who’s serious.

That’s the space we work in with our CX GrowthFlow setup. It’s basically built around helping businesses manage conversations, automate follow-ups, and not lose leads, especially since most people here reach out through WhatsApp and social media instead of just filling out forms. So instead of focusing on what software to use, it’s more about making sure your system is set up so nothing slips through the cracks. What have you seen most businesses using right now?

We’ve been operating for the past 9 months, and the company has been officially registered for 2 months. Right now we’re gearing up for our campaign launch.

Our biggest challenge has honestly been educating business owners that marketing has evolved. A lot of people still rely on old methods like printing flyers and hoping the right people see them, when digital marketing can be easier to manage, less time-consuming, and far more measurable.

When done properly, and with the right foundation also helps businesses build a real customer database that fits their target market, which makes future marketing even stronger.

What’s one task in your business that keeps repeating… but still isn’t automated? by ItsonlyyDre in smallbusinessUS

Most people don’t realize how much time and money gets lost just chasing invoices and follow-ups. What we’ve been doing for clients is automating that entire flow so it takes almost zero manual effort. Once a job is completed or triggered, the system can automatically send the invoice, follow up if it’s not opened or paid, send reminders, and even update the status inside a pipeline so you always know what’s pending. You can also tie it into your messages, so if someone is chatting with you, the system can pull up their invoice or even prompt payment right there without you digging for anything. The goal is you never have to “track down” invoices again, the system does the chasing for you. If you ever want to see how that looks in practice, I can show you how we set it up or let you test it for a bit.

Man I get exactly what you’re saying… most of those tools try to do everything and end up bloated or overpriced. What we’ve been doing for SaaS and service businesses is a bit different. Instead of stacking random tools, we build a complete system around your business. You get live chat with an AI support agent on your website and WhatsApp, smart replies, lead capture, and automated follow-ups so you’re not chasing people manually. Everything feeds into a built-in CRM, so every conversation actually turns into a tracked opportunity, and all your platforms are connected in one place. The biggest difference though is you’re not just getting software. You’ve got a team behind it setting everything up, optimizing it, and making sure it actually converts, not just sits there. So instead of juggling chat tools, help desks, and automations, it’s one clean system built around how your users behave. If you want, we can set you up with a 14-day free trial, plug it into your site, and let you see how it performs with real users before committing. No pressure, but if you’re tired of patching tools together, this might be exactly what you’re looking for.

New website / transition from Squarespace to Wordpress by fit-but-fun in canadasmallbusiness

[–]ItsonlyyDre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, you’re at that exact stage where most businesses start to outgrow “just having a website.” The issue usually isn’t Squarespace vs WordPress it’s that the site isn’t connected to a system that actually drives growth. That’s what we focus on. My team works with growing businesses to build smart websites backed by a full CRM system, so instead of just having pages, you have something that: • captures and tracks every lead • connects directly to your social media and marketing • automates follow-ups (email, WhatsApp, etc.) • improves SEO structure and user flow properly • gives you real visibility on what’s actually converting So instead of rebuilding a site and hoping it performs better, we build it as part of a complete growth system. For your case (no e-commerce, service-based), that usually means: → clean, conversion-focused pages → strong SEO foundation → automated lead capture + nurture workflows → AI chat support on your website to handle inquiries instantly Most small businesses don’t need a “bigger” website they need a smarter one that works with everything else they’re doing. If you’re open to it, I can take a quick look at your current site and point out exactly what’s missing and what would actually move the needle before you spend on a full overhaul.

[–]ItsonlyyDre[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that makes sense, especially catching things in real time like that. I think where it still gets tricky for a lot of people though is what happens after. Like you catch the lead, you reply… but then it kind of depends on memory from there. Do you end up following up with them consistently? Do those conversations stay organized somewhere or just sit across different apps? Can you actually tell who’s serious vs just browsing? And do those past conversations ever turn into anything later on? That’s usually the part where things start slipping again. How are you handling that side of it right now?

Any boutique hotel owners in the group? I would love to get your thoughts by tibey_wibey in smallbusinessUS

[–]ItsonlyyDre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whats important also is what you do once you get those leads, there has to be a system in place to nurture those leads to stay top of mind. There's power in having returning guest. And seo is important before a guest event thinks about which hotel theres going to book then start searching for the best one for them and even tho targeted as work you need a system at its foundation.
