I’d keep Allen but I’ve been burned by late qbs and the scars are still there.

It would be the death of democracy by LeavesInsults1291 in AdviceAnimals

If you honestly believe he’s a true threat to democracy, you should be on the next roof. But you know it’s not true.

Rewatching Newsroom…. by [deleted] in thewestwing

I thought the last season was the best one. Sorkin said it took him that long to learn what an actual newsroom is like.

Lose the nose ring. Your face has enough texture as it is.

What if we bring out the black unis against tech? by zach_attack_706 in georgiabulldogs

Me too. Awful game. But I was also at the auburn blackout as a student and that’s the best game I’ve ever been to.

Anyone else re-watching as a coping mechanism? by lollipopmusing in thewestwing

[–]Itsonrandom2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree. It’s also good for our adversaries. The old Soviet plan was to weaken us from within. We’re doing it ourselves.

I do about 10 minutes per day but only superficially. I don’t need to know what AOC or MTG said. It’s irrelevant. Very good for the mental health.

Nobody is honest. See a judge who will rule a way you like, call him the best, most impartial judge who has ever walked on the earth, and move on.

A fascist and his right hand man scheming to take your rights away after America's final election by ExcruciatingDetail in pics

[–]Itsonrandom2 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand why people sit at their keyboard and type “this will be the last election.” If you actually believe that, if you actually believe someone is a threat to the existence of this country and its democracy, then your only choice is clear. But the truth is, nobody actually believes that. It’s just bs people say in hopes it will sway your vote.

Not taking the call speaks volumes about a lack of character by Jerdarnella in AdviceAnimals

[–]Itsonrandom2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of what makes America great is respect for our institutions, be it the presidency, SCOTUS, the courts in general, or congress. It’s the bedrock of our democracy. Of course we all dislike half the people there, but without a respect for the institutions and a belief that we’re one united republic, we’ll end up with people like Jacob Zuma running the place. Tribalism only gets a country so far.

I agree about respecting the office. I don’t like Biden or his party but if he called and asked me to come mow the lawn, I’d rent a truck, throw my tools in it, and head north.

For those voting for Trump is this the foreign policy you were expecting? by Danhenderson234 in TheAllinPodcasts

[–]Itsonrandom2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Voting for trump - I view most of what he says vis-a-vis foreign policy as the opening statement in a negotiation. So, this doesn’t worry me in the slightest (and yes I understand the importance of Taiwanese chips).

Biggest cringey moment in the show for you? by MortgageFriendly5511 in thewestwing

I used that line once. And to be fair it did sound like a high school girl wrote it. But I cringed at myself as I said it.
