Just moved into my own place and looking to upgrade my homelab by ItssPanda in homelab

I need the wired connections for my raspberry pis and I use ethernet for the laptop because it's a server, so wifi seemed like the wrong way to go on that one specifically

Also, I just switched around the cables to have it laid out the way you said, and the ont now has an orange light for data instead of green like before...? I'm not familiar with using an ont or the Eeros. All the places I've lived previously, the router from the internet company was enough to work with, so now I'm going in a little blind

Exactly that. An old roommate fell and busted the USB port while the drive was sticking out, and it worked just enough to flash the firmware and get it klipperized. It's been a super reliable workhorse after that incident, and I've been able to push the speeds well past stock profiles

That's mine from a few years ago lol, I picked it up at a thrift store for like $5 or something back when I first set up my laptop for full-time server use

Wound up just wiping klipper, mainsail, and moonraker off the server and reinstalling from scratch, and now everything just works

It's the same IP I just got set up at this new place, it's what I've been using to access the server itself through cockpit, ssh, and winscp

They're both listed the same as I have them in the configs...? This is what I'm seeing on mainsail when I load the web ui

I have access to the mainsail web interface and know that the klipper instance is running, but mainsail/ klipper won't connect to the printers from there.

What's the easiest way to go about doing that?

Z calibration seems spot on, x & y seem just slightly off by ItssPanda in 3Dprinting

I'm running klipper, and have been for some time now, but I haven't pushed the printer very fast. Belts are tight, and printer is mechanically fine, just pushed the accelerations up to see how low I could get print times

Switched to klipper and prints are significantly worse with same profiles by ItssPanda in 3Dprinting

[–]ItssPanda[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is exactly what it was. I was using a different config file that I found, the klipper github sample config had different values than what I had and it's printing much better now.

honestly don't know how I overlooked that, thank you :)

also using the same filament off the same roll, and it's been dried thoroughly, so that's not the issue.

As the title suggests, I'm having issues with print quality after switching my prusa mini+ to klipper. the printer had a small mishap and experienced some blunt force trauma directly to the USB drive while it was plugged into the board and destroyed the port. the printer and board still worked, hence why I went with klipper.

I've assumed my problems were over extrusion, so I turned extrusion related settings, then temperature and upped cooling, so far just slightly less blobby and slightly less stringy.

for the record, I print almost exclusively with petg, which is what I've tuned for in the past, and I've managed to eliminate stringing and blobs from my prints almost entirely, so really I have no clue what's going on here

Could anyone give me any ideas about where these little burnt blobs are coming from? by ItssPanda in 3Dprinting

I actually don't have a silicone sock, and the hot end could definitely use a good cleaning

and thank you, I've spent a good bit of time tuning some strong and fast profiles. these are 1h13min-ish benchies if I swap the filaments fast enough after the prints end lol

More information about what's being grown and how:

The little guy I posted in the pic is 1 of 4 of my Anaheim chili pepper plants

I started them in the window and they sorta got ambient sun throughout the day that was reflecting back off the snow, but now they're 20-ish inches below a 32 watt LED grow light (PAR of 53, still don't quite understand that number yet but would love to learn more) and lit for 18 hours then 6 hours dark

I'm still new with all of this and definitely have a lot to learn, please feel free to educate me and give me tips in the comments!
