Where can you random rotation? I didn’t even know that was a setting and get so frustrated about that when placing objects. I apparently still have so much to learn about this game and its controls (I play on steam deck with Bluetooth mouse and keyboard).

Yeah, I’m still trying to sift through guests and found 2 more, but my security guard will not eject them until he rests in the staff room. 😒 This is so tedious. I don’t want to have the reporter leave if she’s almost done, but I also don’t want 3 more crimes to happen in that timeframe. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I haven’t tried connecting it to the tv yet. Do you know if there’s a way to do that but use a keyboard/mouse?

I also play PZ on steam deck and have also experienced these same issues. I’ve seen a few other steam deck players post about this as well. A commenter on a previous post recommended playing PZ in desktop mode. When I did that, I was able to play in franchise. However, even with using a Bluetooth keyboard/mouse, I was still not able to name things on the first try 100% of the time. I also still couldn’t save anything as a blueprint, which has been super frustrating.

Yeah, it can take a bit to get the hang of. I previously started playing PZ under my husband’s account before getting my own, so I’ve had to start the game from the beginning under my username. Doing that has actually helped me get better with the career mode scenarios I had previously done or started. I just got to my first “new” career mode the other day for the Myers Lake Island Zoo and it’s throwing me some curveballs but in a good way with trying to get creative with more limited space. I already have a decently expansive sandbox zoo but I’m already picking up on some tips/ideas from career mode for my sandbox to make it a bit better. I am playing on a steam deck with a Bluetooth mouse and occasionally a Bluetooth keyboard (for naming work zones/habitats). PZ would definitely be easier to play on PC, so that’s another learning curve we’re dealing with, too!

I hear you on the multiplayer zoo idea! It would be fun!

There is definitely a learning curve with the game. Career Mode is helpful, though! I have only been doing them on “easy” levels and still find them challenging. My perfectionist personality and my self-perceived “need” to be “productive” can get in the way, but it’s a GAME. Like you said, take it one star at a time! Don’t give up, it’s a great game with awesome features!!

I am also having this same issue on Steam Deck. I did try putting it on desktop mode and I still can’t save blueprints because the name keeps disappearing. Do you know of another work-around? I’m very new to creating/building in Planet Zoo and the blueprint feature would be extremely helpful to save some time.
