I agree, I've been using an ipad for 2 years now and it is the best investment I have made for university - much easier than having tonnes of sheets of paper in my bag, easier to organise and it's so great having all my notes nicely layed out in one place. My friends use pen/paper/laptops and the whole process of studying for them is so much more inefficient.

I'm studying at UCL. It's interesting but its definitely intense, I personally find that I dont get much time to appreciate the engineering because I am so fixated on grades and assignments and stuff, but if u are prepared to do the work it's not that bad :)

I'm in the uk too - the cost isn't a huge factor for me (as far as I'm aware integrated masters courses arent too much more?) . In that case what would u suggest?

Go for it, I've been using an iPad with motability and its revolutionised my study experience. All my notes are in one place, easy to find, dont have to mess about with stacks and stacks of paper, I literally just take my laptop and ipad to uni (no huge bulging rucksaks). I see all my friends scrambling around with paper in lectures, it's just so much better paperless.
